My ride home yesterday was pure torture. A headwind the whole way home and being on my mountain bike made for a long slow ride. There was no steady about it

Man was I glad to be home when I finally made it!

I'm convinced that tailwinds don't actually exist.

I'm with you Ann! My last tri every time I turned the wind was still in my face!

I've had days like that, too.

Do they do gait analysis at the store?

Yep. You walk barefoot, smash your wet feet on paper and run on a treadmill and they figure out what type of shoe your stride needs. Pretty cool.

Cool! I've wanted to do that but I'm not sure where to go around here.

Call around to local running stores, if you have one. Mine is in the nearest town about 35 minutes away.. but worth the trip.

I used to use one for the computer all the time...now I have the laptop.....really should figure a set up to still use the ball.

I was having neck and back issues and it has saved my life... really

The exercise ball helped your neck and back issues? I've thought about trying one but was afraid I'd end up on the floor.

I have always been too embarrassed before. I figured I need to get over myself.

I never understood this.....

Insecurity is a silly thing..but, unfortunately real. At 49 (and change)I figured it is really time to suck it up....

It is sad when we let others thought control our actions....Walk in with pride that you are changing your life!

I have ended up on the floor a few times! Just laugh it off and be happy no one saw!
