Funny, I'm more nervous about this than I was doing my first race. Talked to the coach though, and he assured me that there were all levels of ability and that I won't be the oldest person there. I'm looking forward to pushing harder on a swim workout--I think. |

I had one of those before-coffee moments this morning that resulting in losing two of my finger prints on my right hand due to a burn. Luckily, this is not the same hand as the finger I sliced and passed out because of a few weeks ago. Seriously people, just laugh at me. I deserve it at this point. Raining Lightning and 40 isnot my kind of racing conditions. But we will see. Go have a blast! The one and only DU I completed last year was cold and raining the whole time. You can pass a lot of bike in the corners if they are weenies! This one race drove all my training this winter to try to TRI. Go crush 'em. |

Extreme Veteran 380 Houston | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! Justine and I are now signed up as part of a Texas Indepence Relay team (11 runners). Our team "Succeed or Secede" will run 203 miles from Gonzales, TX to Deer Park,TX at the San Jacinto Monument. Justine is signed up for 4 legs of 21+ miles and I am in for 4 legs for 24 miles. Since we were the last two in we also get the fun legs in the middle of the night (yes, no resting someone on the team is running for 33 hours straight). We run March 6/7. Should be interesing. I am looking forward to the challenge. Thank god our team is not trying to race. Justine and I just need to run 9 min / miles. |
