Elite 4201 washington state | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action Good Morning Ghoulies. Back to work today after the long weekend. Step-daughter & granddaughter came out and putzed around with us on Saturday and stayed to dinner. DH and DsD went to the range Sunday afternoon for target practice while I dug my area for the brick laying. Sunday evening we went to dinner with friends and played cards. Monday DH worked on his project (building a storage shed) and I laid the brick. All went well so that is satisfying! |

Elite 4201 washington state | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action Originally posted by kns57 Since I worked on Sunday I extended my birthday celebration. Sunday night we went out to dinner for Italian (and birthday girl got a free meal). Monday, son and his girl came over (after Dragoncon) and we all went for Mexican for dinner. Ran into friends at the restaurant and joined them, so fun times all around. Did sneak in a motorcycle ride on Monday after the rain. Sounds fun! Glad you had an extended celebration! |

She got up this morning and she has a huge blister on her head. I took her to the Ready Care and they told me just to keep an eye on it. I AM. How is Keri? She went swimming at a cousin's house in Sunday night, I think that helped to dry the blister out. She got up yesterday morning and the blister looked mostly drained. She still has the dark dead skin on her forehead, but it looks WAY better than that huge blister she had. Glad that the blister is clearing up! Hope your cold is better. |

Makes me wish that once I gave notice, they would not have announced it to staff until about 2 weeks out, but then again, that would have meant that I had to keep real quiet about it. So, no win. |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action Morning Ghoulies. I am still fighting my infection, so the weekend was pretty tame here, too. Dee, laying brick is a bunch of work! Isn't that the first 10 K you ever did? Someday I'll do that one with you. That would be a beautiful bridge. Ann, hope you are feeling better. I am glad Keri's bite/blister is better. Lots of spider bites going on these days. Kendra, Glad you had extended birthday celebrations. You deserve them. I went for my allergy shot today and had a mild reaction. I am worn out and I am going to nap. NOW! Have great days all. |

They are having a party for me on the 12th from noon to 2pm. So, I guess I will leave here shortly after 2pm if I have my way.Originally posted by kns57 This month long notice at work is killing me. Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action I am gearing up today to take my Mom to Ohio and WVa for a long weekend. We are staying with my godfather. He and his wife have been friends of my Mom's since she was in her late teens. They are all in their 80s and they are not in great health. I am making Jim go too. Overall, it is fun. We go to the Coldwater Creek distribution store. Great deals to be had. There is the Sternwheel festival which is kind of hokey but the fireworks are world class. Then, we go to several family graveyards which, while not fun in itself, they are beautiful drives. I'll be out of touch mostly. You all have fabulous weekends! |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action Ann - feel better. As Robin said, no more Ghoulies sick. Robin - have a safe trip and I wish I was going to the Coldwater Creek outlet. I did get 30 minutes on the trainer last night. Today working a 12 hour day, so no workout for me. But I will be off the next four days, so other than lunch and dinner out, I will be painting a bedroom the next two days. Then a motorcycle ride on Saturday, a 10 year old's birthday party, Sunday tennis and the theatre. Woot! |

What's everyone got planned for the weekend? Glad that you are feeling better! We are "supposed" to have a nice weekend vs the storms for the last few days. If so, I will run and maybe try to do another project in the yard. I have some gravel and firewood to move, then cement cobblestones to make. |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action Howdy from Ohio. Sternwheel festival this weekend with the octogenarians. That and visiting family cemeteries. At least there will be great people watching and fireworks. Hubbie and I had to go to a nearby Appplebe's to get wireless. Have fun you all Ann.. GET WELL. Kendra, good on getting the trainer in. your weekend sounds fun. Dee, hope it dries out. I had no doubt with the expert installation, the brick would be good. |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action Good morning Ghoulies! After a week with the crud, I am feeling better. I miss working from home though, the early morning alarm and drive were not fun. I had a sinus headache until Saturday evening. I am still blowing my nose a little, but it's only a few times a day, not a few times a minute. Saturday morning soccer season started. Caleb's team lost 5-2. He was frustrated. He gave up 2 goals, one of them was to one of his own teammates. Sucks when that happens. He, along with some of the other older kids are frustrated with the new coach, and the younger players. There is a lack of discipline, and they don't play as a team. The assistant coach won't be there this week, so Donnie is helping. He is going to talk to the coach about some of the problems. Keri's game was a bit chaotic. We went to the away field, that team went to our field. We ended up waiting 45 minutes for them to get back. We won that game 4-1. Keri played well, but by the end she was dragging a bit from all the running. Both teams schedules still need to be worked out. If they stand the way they are now both kids will have to go play a game that is 2.5 hours away from home. No one is happy about that. Plus there are conflicts with having 2 teams playing on the field at the same time. We only have 1 field for each U10, U12, U14, and U19 teams, so we can't have both the boys, and the girls teams playing at the same time. Another busy week for us coming up. Tomorrow when the kids get home we are grabbing Keri's soccer gear, then going back to school for the RED OUT for the home soccer game. Then her and I will go right from the stadium to soccer practice. On Wednesday we are doing the same thing, only for JH football. Then Donnie and Caleb will head straight from the stadium to soccer practice.

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action My weekend was pretty busy. Not everything went as planned, but no complaints here. Got the walls painted in the bedroom my son has vacated. Did not get the trim done. The dinner party on Friday evening went well. Everyone raved about the food. Even hubby was still raving two days later. Woot! Saturday we did the motorcycle ride for the breast cancer training walk. Then rested for an hour and home before going to the birthday party. They had a jump house and were showing an outdoor movie when it got a bit darker. I did get in the jump house for less than 10 minutes and I am still paying for it. Nothing bad happened, just my neck and shoulders complained bitterly on Sunday and still some today. Am going to try and see the chiropractor later today. Sunday, easy morning, but then I had a marathon tennis match. We got on the courts at 1:05 and got off at 4:45. It was so hot, I don't know how we managed to play. It was an awesome match, we were very equal in skill level. We won the first set in a tie break, they won the second set in a tie break, and then we won the third set 6-2. I guess they were more tired than we were. My right arm was so swollen, the tennis elbow was killing me. Another thing to bring up with the chiropractor today. After watching the rest of the team finish up their matches, I got home, showered and just did not move the rest of the evening. We were in bed by 9:15pm. |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action Morning Ghoulies I read about Ann(e)'s weekend and upcoming weekend and was tired. I read about Kendra's weekend and I am exhausted! I need a nap. We got home yesterday and I had a raging headache. I was in bed by 9:30. I am taking today off to catch up on things. I have a doctor's appointment today. I wish you could have all your annual check ups at one place at one time. It would be a byach of a day, but it would be over till next year. Have fun. |

Elite 4201 washington state | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action Good Morning! I have coffee!! yah!!! Of course I always have coffee in the morning, but I am extra grateful today. I was tired yesterday afternoon and slept for 1 1/2 hours. Felt good until I tried to sleep last night! Not so good.
I did not work on my cement cobblestone pavers this weekend, but I did clean out the front gutters and scrub the siding on the front of the house. Sure looks better, but my body sure felt all that ladder work! |
