O.K....can't let Bill outdo me...

Race report from this weekend...

I just can't get over the fact that you wore a wetsuit and the water was 78 degrees, okay 77.9.

Uh...wetsuits help me...my swim time last year sans wetsuit: 42 min.  My swim time this year with wetsuit: 30 min.  An improvement in 44 seconds per 100 yards...heck yeah, I'll take it...

I don't have a lot of body fat...I get cold in ANY water...

O.K., granted, I did spend a lot of time in the pool this winter, so I don't know how much is due to the wetsuit, and how much to improved swimming...

hehehehehe.... you like flotation!!!!!

Artemis - 2008-08-11 2:42 PM Someone tell me it's ok if I ride my trainer inside instead of doing the ride outside.  I'm tired, my head hurts, and being in the sun is making my sunburned arms feel horrible.  I feel like a wimp, but I feel like the trainer ride is the only way I'm going to get through it today.  Is that ok?

better than no ride at all

It's OK with me, as long as it's OK with you that I didn't make it to the pool today and will have to do my 3 swims this week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday (I was hoping for MWF). Will that work?

I'm just hoping I can wake-up at the crack of stupid to swim at all this week

Oops... gotta get 3pm appt just got here.

Doesn't matter to me.  As long as you get the swimming in.

Since you have to swim on Friday anyway, you should join the tri club and come to OWS practice Friday evening.

As fun as that sounds... ... Friday evening is when I'm getting my bike back from Performance and they're going to fit me to my bars. Sorry to miss the tri-club fun. (Or not.)

In Sal's defense... most of the people at the event wore wetsuits... you should have heard the cheer go up when they announced that they were "legal".  Of course, it took so long for them to come back with the water temperature that I suspect that they were looking for the coldest spot in the lake to take the temp.

I, of course, did not need one because I have lots of natural insulation and flotational assists.

The problem for me is which side to float up...  both sides are so large, though the bottom IS getting a little smaller, just wish the top side would do the same....

I hear ya Sharon, I WISH I needed a wetsuit to float....

THis whole theory on being faster in a suit still doesn't really apply to me yet...

Tonight I made polenta for dinner - with a marinara & meat sauce on the top/side.

My 3 year old asked for the sauce on the side, told me it had no flavor and ate it mushed up with her fingers.

My 6 year old asked for the sauce on the side and ended up putting salad on top of it to make it edible.

Sugar Daddy put the sauce on top and said the polenta wasn't horrible.

Polenta - what do you think?
