![]() kraut_fan - 2008-09-10 3:28 PM wurkit_gurl - 2008-09-10 3:25 PM Really. by choice? I know of guys that have but usually not by choice. I did have a friend stop for 6 months ish before getting married.
Untrue. On both accounts. I go to a pretty conservative church. You learn A LOT of interesting things about how people see this sort of stuff there. I know guys who were virgins until they got married in their mid-20s and guys who've definitely had sex before but are so freaked out about dating chicks because they think they'll "slip" again, etc, etc. Edited by wurkit_gurl 2008-09-10 2:29 PM |

Word History: The word naughty at one time was an all-purpose word similar to bad. During the 16th century one could use naughty to mean "unhealthy, unpleasant, bad (with respect to weather), vicious (of an animal), inferior, or bad in quality" (one could say "very naughtie figes" or "naughty corrupt water" Blah blah...how does that counter my point at all? All I'm saying is now people DON'T always use it to mean you did something wrong. Exactly. How people use a word and its actual meaning are two different things. You originally referenced the meaning and now you reference the usage. Make a choice. Blah Blah Blah Edited by mrbbrad 2008-09-10 2:33 PM |

I really don't want them to grow up like I did discussing sex on a normal basis. I thought my wife (high school sweet hearts) was going to die back then when it came up. Now its just everyday. No - don't do that. I know a lot of people who are also really sexually repressed. And people who think I'M a wh0re because I'm not all pure and crap - but I was never slutty or anything, not even close. Tell them the facts. Don't shield them, but teach them right from wrong. There is a lot of good teaching about sex in the church and there is a lot of bad teaching. Unfortunately, the bad teaching seems to stick more than the good. I know a lot of girls who have really warped notions about sex because their parents didn't tell them and the church just told them it was "bad to have before you're married". x2-only I got the disease and protection talk in HS health-they also distributed condoms and bananas so we could 'practice'. The guys were also excused to the little boys room. I made similar choices...unfortunately, just after HS, there was this one guy who had an obsession and did the whole stalking thing... not cool. It was really awesome the day my little sis(who was an amazing gymnast) took him on...I would like to think that he learn a lesson that day. I never saw him again. I have a few girlfriends from church who've either gotten married and were still virgins or are just still virgins and who were/are kinda freaked out about it. And they've asked me for advice or asked me questions. I'm glad that I can tell them the truth. The whole spiritual element is one thing, but when you get down to business, it is kind of a freaky process! |
