Howdy TAN! I just typed "Happy Tuesday" and then realized that it's actually Wednesday. I think. I need more than 5 hours of sleep a night.

You started the "HUMP" part of Hump Day too early, eh?

I wish...that would at least be a good reason to not have gotten sleep.

Preach on, A. I woke up hacking and coughing like I've done every night for four days! At least I got to see the 3 a.m. showing of `Carlito's Way' ... I love that movie.

I've been watching marathons of America's Next Top Model and reading.  All things being equal, it is pretty entertaining.  I love all the crazy catty fights and the girls who say they are fat when they weigh like 120 pounds.

Just run a couple extra miles later.

I've been convinced. Thanks. I needed the extra push.

I heard one of the punishments was that they had to eat bites of chocolate cake. Poor things. Such a rough life.

You're a fattist, Ryan.

I don't care about weight -- it's all about how healthy someone is. Some of the best athletes I know -- male and female -- aren't skinny.

Anyone know anything about basketball shoes? I don't think I've ever owned a pair in my life.

I don't like basketball, I'm not real good at basketball (I can shoot, just never played to develop the other skills), so... I'm gonna play basketball this winter. That's the way I do things.

Anyway, so I'm looking for a decent pair of shoes that aren't real expensive. I know the "baller" types... like my brother (he played in college) always have the newest shoes by their favorite player. I don't even know 5 players in the NBA right now. HA. Do I just stick with like, Nike or something?

You can get nice Nikes from a Kohl's or similar store for $40-$50.

Today sucks.  I am working on the lab project today and I went in the freezer to get some RNA samples.  Turns out the summer student who was supposed to get the RNA from the cells didn't do that.  The cells were frozen down.  So I had to get the RNA out before I can start the work I had planned for today and that tacks on an extra hour.

Then as soon as I started that, the fire alarm went off.  Arg!  We were evacuated for like 20 minutes.

I just want to go home and have a beer.
