Ooh, what kinda bird? I've had a couple parakeets in my day.

Petrie's a cockatiel.

Very nice. I had a cockatiel for a couple weeks a while back. We FOUND him flying around the neighborhood, no clue where he came from.

Bought him a cage and kept him until we found a good home.

That bastage would NOT shut up though. He kept singing some rhythm or song, but we could never figure out what it was...

I had a dream about Donuts...

Once I had a donut and I made sweet, sweet lo.... ummmmm... nevermind.

-B

I dreamed I brought donuts to work.. Only to find out that a new vendor had brought something like 5 DOZEN donuts into work and they were all variations of my favorite kind of donut..

clearly sexual...

-B

I want to have sex with the donut or the vendor that brought the donut??? Or am I consuming donuts due to my lack of sexual outlets???

The donuts themselves represent sex.. they are female genitalia... either a hole to be penetrated or a womb-like entity (for the filled variety... and really "FILLED" can we get more sexual there).

You have some sex, the dozen you brought... but there is much more brought by the vendor and you DESIRE those too....

It is really a statement that you want more...

or that you were really hungry.

-B

Or...the donuts represent the female sex, the "O" of the donuts can be quanitifed as "nothing" or "0", which ties to something about gender identity (sorry, I'm a bit rusty from grad school) - you are attempting to determine your true self/identity which is tied to cultural gender narratives, but there are so many options, all of which are written as "nothing" - so there are a couple of options - you are truly worthless, OR each donut represents a different 'identity', and it is up to you to "write" on those blank nothings, within or without the confines of your previously inscribed gender roles.

This TOTALLY would make sense, if I thought about it some more, went in depth and cited some people, but that's the gist.

Grad school was interesting. I took a lot of classes from the same professor who specialized in postmodern notions of gender identity and Renaissance drama.

Me neither!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nor do I.  But I like my food to preserve its taste and texture.  And I don't buy the 'everything ends up in the same place anyway nonsense.'  Part of the beauty of a good meal is to be able to enjoy all the individual flavors and textures.

Exactly. However, mexican food is an exception for me. I love to mix everything up on my plate and eat with chips. nummy.

I do that as well. It is like having a mexican fiesta casserole...so good. Maybe I will have mexican for dinner tonight?

The latest Nine Inch Nails album is strangely good.

MUCH different from just about any previous offerings.

People that keep food separate on their plates are odd. People that have separate plates for each food item are freaks.

I've been wanting to get two dogs for the last few years but I just don't think i can until after Ironman. I am now contemplating getting a couple of birds in the meantime. Am I going to regret it?

My aunt had birds that would start cheeping every morning at like 5 am. When you are NOT waking up at that hour, it is very annoying.

Anybody ever done one of the MS150 rides in their area? How was it? Just curious to hear some feedback as far as course support etc. since I am currently raising money to ride in one in Sept. We get to ride from Graceland to the casinos in Tunica. Sounds fun!

This is true... but any pet is going to be messy. Hell, I'm sure the birds would be much cleaner than the man.

I have thought of this. I have an office at the other end of the house that I can put them in when I plan on sleeping in (which is like once a month). THe other days, it might be nice to have another alarm clock.

no pathogens... just lethal doses of radiation if thats ok?

that works for me   I wonder what would happen with radiation in combination of deadly pathogens....

if the pathogens are in system already not much... introduce them afterwards is the key.... muuuhahahahahaha

We FOUND him flying around the neighborhood, no clue where he came from.

My parents got their cockatiel in much the same way. The Sunday after their youngest child moved away for college, they came home from Mass to find a cockatiel, uncaged, sitting on their deck.

She was exhausted, so they caught her, brought her in the house, and put a laundry basket over her until they got a cage. They watched the newspaper for lost bird ads but never saw one.
