Scout7 - 2007-09-26 10:27 AM So, define sensitive, warm, caring, and fuzzy.
Here's what I mean by these words...I'm skipping the dictionary.com definitions b/c...I assume you wonder what I mean, not what the world says...
Sensitive - Empathetic, Sympathetic, Cares about how others may "take" something one says or does.
Warm - Friendly. Welcoming.
Fuzzy - Hahah...Says the occasional (or frequent, I guess) schmaltzy thing or two.
I was out running...
Here's my take on it: I don't seem to care about how others take things, because I'm direct. I actually generally think very carefully about many of my responses, especially regard training stuff. But, my directness comes out when I see the same issue, time and time again, being brought up by the same people, time and time again. So at that point, I move to using the 2x4 between the eyes approach, because the softer methods aren't getting through.
Mostly, when someone asks for an opinion, I will give it. I frame it in a fashion that I have developed through personal experiences of dealing with others. That usually means breaking things down to the lowest common denominator, and being short, sweet, and to the point.
