mila - 2008-08-12 10:34 AM Hiya Nibbs! I'm back. Look at me all two days in a row and whatnot .

Hi Mila - how was the Exhibits first day back at school? (I think i got that right

First day back at school was fantastic!!!  I love the first day.  It's the only morning of the school year I don't have to drag Exhibit A out of bed by her toes.

OK, and for the remainder of my catch up comments:

1.  Kristen... Chewie is too cute!  Yay for pound pups.
2.  Beach volleyball does nothing for me unless I'm at the beach where men do not play in baggy clothes.  I have done extensive research on this.  They should make the Olympics more authentic in this respect... sans shirts, gentlemen, sans shirts
3.  I'm gonna have to say that this is the best Olympics ever!  I'm getting not nearly enough sleep.  I tried the TiVo route but I got too far behind.
4.  Jen... trainer ride, especially watching the Olympics, is always a good option.  I like my trainer.  I'm weird like that, though.  It's only because it's the only time I ever really get to watch uninterrupted t.v. or movies.  Don't think I'd like it on too regular a basis of course, but from time to time it's teh roxxor.
5.  Judi... one of the regulars in my cycle class gave me flashing endcaps.  As in red light.  Flashes.  Niiiiiiiice.  Now if they were pink I might consider them .
6.

7.  And just pointing out that I refrained from making each of those comments separately to pad my post count (though it was really very tempting to do so for number 6).

Oh wait...

Look!  It's a whole page of pink chucks so far.  Speaking of chucks.  I designed some last night.  They have skulls and lots of pink on 'em and I'm working on getting Kiss My Sass on them.  Yeah, really, they personalize them.  I obviously have way too much time on my hands.

And in the spirit of post padding...I had a coffee incident this morning. Nothing looks cooler than showing up for work wearing a t-shirt with a brown stain on the front.

Thankfully classes aren't in yet, I'm dressed in casual grubby, and I'm going home around lunch to check on Chewie.

O.K....can't let Bill outdo me...

Race report from this weekend...

I just can't get over the fact that you wore a wetsuit and the water was 78 degrees, okay 77.9.

Uh...wetsuits help me...my swim time last year sans wetsuit: 42 min.  My swim time this year with wetsuit: 30 min.  An improvement in 44 seconds per 100 yards...heck yeah, I'll take it...

I don't have a lot of body fat...I get cold in ANY water...

O.K., granted, I did spend a lot of time in the pool this winter, so I don't know how much is due to the wetsuit, and how much to improved swimming...

hehehehehe.... you like flotation!!!!!

I NEED flotation.  If I stop my stroke and quit kicking, I slowly sink to the bottom of the pool...

In Sal's defense... most of the people at the event wore wetsuits... you should have heard the cheer go up when they announced that they were "legal".  Of course, it took so long for them to come back with the water temperature that I suspect that they were looking for the coldest spot in the lake to take the temp.

It was great to meet you in person Sharon.

Yeah, about the whole 77.9 water temp...seems quite odd doesn't it?  I was one of the people cheering.  Yes, I can swim the distance without a wetsuit, but I do it about 20 sec/100 slower.  I need to stop using a wetsuit as a crutch...  I guess this means more time in the pool this winter...

What? Wear a wetsuit in the water? I laugh at the idea. Hahaha.  *as I trip over myself getting out the door to find a cheap wetsuit before I swim in 68 degree OW again...*

LOL.  We're all going to end up with dwarf identities by the end of the day.
