mr2tony - 2007-11-15 12:42 PM Yeah I feel like doing a brick right now, but it's starting to get cold out and the days of riding outside are starting to get limited. Plus it gets dark so early now and it's not really safe to ride on the streets of Chicago in the dark. Time to get the bike up on the trainer!

You have plenty of time to train.  I didn't start my Ironman plan until early Feb and did an HIM the first week of May.  I felt plenty trained for it by then (less than three months).  Not that I advise that route

Yeah I hear ya ... I did the Chicago Marathon (the one where they guy died and 300-plus went to the hospital before it was called off) with about a week's notice. Not wise.

I'll actually try to properly train for this one. Olympics and sprints -- I can do those in my sleep and can get away with undertraining. HIMs are another story.

ADollar79 - 2007-11-15 11:25 AM Yo TAN....I see that the thread is struggling of late
I think people are boycotting. Oh well. On a happier note, I just signed up for IMKansas 70.3 in June. I may ralph.

I don't think they are boycotting I think many of the regulars aren't around much.  Fish has a new job, Scout left, Spokes is in and out lately.  I think it has either 1) run its course, 2) the new blood is getting the swing of it or 3) this might be the level of participation from here on out.

I'm OK with any of those scenarios, except that it's run its course. We need to finish this one out anyway. And if it doesn't pick up by the end then there may not be a 12. Really though, I like to post stuff here instead of having to start a new thread everytime I want to say something stupid or off-beat.

I think any one of those things is ok.  I like having this thread to chat with everyone.  It's just a little slower pace and sometimes it's lonely.

Exactly. I don't mind the slower pace but I hate when it falls too low.

I have the same thing you do!!! I can't shake this cough. I went to the doc a couple days ago and thankfully don't have pneumonia or anything.

That sounds miserable.

My husband sounds like he's starting to get this thing, too.  I really hope he doesn't because I do not want to get sick.

I vote for 2) new blood is getting in the swing of it.

If only they would quit sending me work, I could actually get some posts in on TAN. Back to a more important subject... Ambien. Ahh, the good stuff.

Disgusting update.

Leak in the ceiling was not the supply line.  It was from a crack in the toilet drain pipe.  EEEEEwwwwwww.
