Can you cook?


No. Least not yet. I'm never home usually so...it doesn't work to cook. =) I AM going to work on it starting here in a few weeks with a girl I used to coach who is gettin hitched in a week or so. She doesn't know how either and we both want to learn w/o feeling TOO dumb so we thought we'd learn together. =)


Cooking's really not hard at all. Find a cookbook you can trust, and work out of that. Step-by-step instructions at the beginning will help you get a feel for what works, and after a while, you'll feel more like trying to throw things together on your own.

(Take it from the girl who owns altogether way too many cookbooks for a single girl. Oof.)

Taking a class is cool if you can do it. PBS on the weekends is another good way to figure things out.

Cooking Light is a decent mag with more basic ingredients.
