I just took a two hour nap, which was nice. I have to rest up - we're going to see the new James Bond movie at midnight, so it is going to be a late night! |

Royal(PITA) 14270 West Chester, Ohio | Subject: RE: Nibbs XXVII I stopped at the race expo after work. They finally got with the times. Disposable timing chips. Looks like a hospital ID band with your name printed on it and a magnetized strip in it. No more waiting at the finish to turn in the chip or forfeit $$ if it's lost. Carytown Bikes had a booth too. The guy recognized me and asked me about my bike |

I've used those a few times this year. They are a little tricky to get on, but it's really nice to not have to make sure the chip doesn't get lost or have to be returned at the end of the race. |

They did an swesome job with rough estimates from John and Francois. We lowered the saddle about 1/2 inch but that's as far as I'll adjust without the proper fit. Sometime after the half When I'm not doing long run Saturdays and can meet Jen and Kristen at West Creek to ride around a while QueenZipp - 2008-11-14 11:19 AM I stopped at the race expo after work. I'm heading over tomorrow afternoon...Elder Monkey is doing the kids race tomorrow night, but I want to spend some money time at the expo, so I'm picking up both our packets before I go get them from daycare. Some cute shirts and hats....I got a tee shirt from 3:16 wear with a nice verse on it. Another water belt, this one has smaller bottles. Won an arm band for the ipod--course I already have one so I'm using it for my cell phone so I can locate John after the race. Almost bought R a cute pair of earrings but she didn't know if they were "sensitive ears" worthy. Had little footprints on them like the footprints in the sand poem. |

Better to go without the Monkeys (running wild) and Sugar Daddy (checking out how much I'm buying)! It's a good thing I fill my own x-mas stocking. |

Sorry I haven't been around. I'm kinda swimming underwater right now with work & home stuff. But I'm so jazzed about the race on Saturday! How much rain will we be running in this time? In a way, I'm glad I'm not running. I'm sure you updated everyone yesterday Jen, but how did your appointment go? No worries. That was probably 20 pages ago. I have a torn medial meniscus in my left knee. She said there's a 50% chance it'll heal on its own. I have a PT appointment next week and a follow up on 12/3. If it's not better on the 3rd, we'll get an MRI in preparation for surgery. I know there's a chance it will get better, but I'm not very optimistic about the situation. Probably because I'm grumpy and upset about everything. pretty understandable My mom had a torn meniscous a couple of years ago bad news - she had to have surgery good news - full recovery (and she is a WHOLE lot older than you are ) |
