When he got out of the pool it was kind of like he was swimming in cellophane. Not okay. I like to be at least somewhat prepared for full frontal nudity. So anyway, good luck with the white. Personally, I would probably sport a black sports bra underneath just to be safe. KeriKadi - 2010-03-02 11:27 AM Betsy0706 - 2010-03-02 10:23 AM Sorry Keri. I did not since those races did not work for me. I know one of our friends that is a polka dot (a girl) has said the dot uniformed wasn't designed with women in mind either. She wears an extra sports bra underneath. Definitely do a test run! KeriKadi - 2010-03-02 10:05 AM Question for the Houston peeps - Did anybody else go for that OUL deal where you registered for all 3 races and got the free tri outfit? I went ahead and registered, the price was right and all 3 races were already on my schedule so it made sense. However, after seeing the WHITE tri top I'm wondering if they plan on charging spectators admission. This was obviously designed by a dude. The sides are black which will be slimming but WHITE? Really? And the bottoms have a white arch over the butt. I'll definitely be conducting a wet trail before wearing this in a race. It's not the run I'm worried about I usually wear a sports bra under my tri suit anyway, I'm just wondering if one will be enough - even white sports bras become transparent when wet.And then there's the bare looking belly, it's not going to be pretty. |

Pro 4742![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sarasota FL | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED!Anyone have any March goals they want to share? I would really like to win the challenge I've got going on in my household for weightloss... but specific goals are: 1. Be "peachy" at least 5 days a week each week. 2. Include a tri related sport for at least 30 minutes on each of the 5 days per week 3. Stay new injury free and work on healing the old one 4. Lose 6 lbs (which should make me the winner...) I do so much better if I outline really specific goals each month that I can check off my "to do" list, so those are mine. Anyone else? |

Master 1623![]() ![]() ![]() | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED!I'm in the March Challenge so my goals for that are: 1. Bike 10 sessions 2. Swim 8 sessions 3. Run 40 miles 4. Strength 8 sessions I also would likes to lose 4 pounds and and do yoga 2 times a week. I feel like that may be a lot of goals but hopefully I can do it Edited by Emmanem 2010-03-02 3:36 PM |

I was in my cool down with about 6:00 remaining and I was coming up on a driveway where a man was standing by the curb - smoking - (ugh!) with his car running (ugh, again). Anyway, I can tell he is going to talk to me. I think he's going to ask if I'm training for something...no big deal. But he says "Excuse me, I think I hit you last week." I'm thinking that if he thinks he hit me last week, gee thanks for stopping to render aid, buddy...and yeah, I made a miraculous recovery since then. Actually, he did almost hit Nik last week. He was trying to light his cigarette and drive...ended up on the opposite side of the street and Nik had to hop over the curb into someone's yard. I did tell him it wasn't me but it was her. He asked me to apologize for him and to let her know his windshield was frosted over and he couldn't see crap... yeah...and you were trying to light a cigarette at the same time...makes sense to me. Anyway, it was an interesting end to the run and just a reminder as to how clueless the sedentary world can be. |

Veteran 169![]() ![]() ![]() | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED!A few of you have asked me about my Vibram Five Fingers and since I have had a few decent runs in them now I thought I would update you all. First off- I love them. Such a different feeling to my runs than when wearing standard shoes. It really feels like bare feet with thick calluses- very cool. I am a mid/fore foot striker with normal shoes, but must be much more of a forefoot striker in the Five Fingers cuz my calves are always screaming at me the day after a longer (3+mi.) run. You really have to watch for small pebbles in the road. I have run on dirt, asphalt, mud, gravel, snow and the only thing that hurts is that stupid little quarter inch pebble on the asphalt that happens to hit right in the center of my forefoot. It goes away quickly, but its almost debilitating for a few seconds. Running the snow w/ the Vibrams is probably the most fun I have ever had running in my life- very cool. Plus, it leaves human-like footprints!! They might not make me faster, and I doubt they prevent injuries, but they are a nice change of pace once or twice a week and I will continue to use them mostly cause they are fun. |

Extreme Veteran 521![]() | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED!Oct. 3 (lots of October in the house!!!)...I'll be 33. My goal for March is to survive! Nik & I own a video production company in addition to our regular full-time jobs...and this month and even April are insane. This weekend we will be videoing a dance competition (which is 2 long days of torture - standing most of it)...next weekend we will be videoing a volleyball tournament and then spending the following week (our spring Break) editing all the volleyball video. In April we have a dance recital the Friday before the HIM. Ugh, not the greatest timing, but it's a client who has been with us since our inception, and we're not at a point where we can turn away a job, anyway. I plan on surviving it all though, and having some nice spending money for this triathlon addiction. Maybe, just maybe, new shiny bikes may be sooner in our future...at least that's what helps drive me during all the insanity. |

I usually wear a sports bra under my tri suit anyway, I'm just wondering if one will be enough - even white sports bras become transparent when wet.
