I was able to get in just under 2 hours, which was my initial goal before I slacked on the training. I LOVED the course and generally the whole thing was done before I even knew it. Now I'm thinking I'm going to have to do another, even though I swore off anything longer than a 10K *sigh* I am also excited because I just signed up to volunteer at the Lifetime Fitness tri. I was going to actually do the race, but it is just too expensive for me right now at $150. My GF and I both signed up to body mark people from 4:30-6:30am, which means we can then watch the whole rest of the race. I'm trembling at the thought of touching an elite athlete's body! Anyway, gotta run, I'm already having a late start to my day! |

While I was hoping that this lull would spark my metabolism to an all time high, let's just say that that did not happen. Werk, swim, laundry and kids' first swim team practice all on tap today. Kristen - have fun grading those exams. Maybe they will help inspire you to write a masterpiece. Jen - fingers crossed that the tests will yield some results so the problem can be fixed and you can start feeling really good Judi - hardcore running in the rain. Those rolling hills had me in the complaining mode by mile 8...you are one tough cookie! Half marathons can be addicting. Yes. The LTF tri is SUPER expensive, but I have some running buddies whose company covers the race fee, provided we do advertising with some race jerseys. I'll try to look for you there and let you know my race number ahead of time. LTF is one of those tris where it's IMPOSSIBLE to find anyone. It's a HUGE race. Thanks for volunteering! |

Comeandgetit is a better weather forecaster than the people on the Weather Channel. (He predicted the tornado awhile back. He predicted no tornado yesterday. He was right both times. The Weather Channel, on the other hand....) Yeah, it would be nice to visit Cat. But I think I prefer flying Delta. (Delta is still in business, right? These days, you never know...) |

I totally had LTF as my big race for the year, but now am just feeling like it is just really a lot of money. I am still doing an olympic tri in Duluth a few weekends after LTF at half the cost. I'll still do LTF, perhaps next year. I went to it last year to watch my GF, so I know exactly how nuts it is, but if I know your bib number I can at least try to see if I can pick you out of the crowd. Who knows, I may body mark ya Thanks everyone for the congrats on my race. I can't believe how good I feel about it! Now off to get a run in and try to get the soreness worked out of my legs |
