Wow, it's late.  I'm not used to actually going out anymore.... heh. Anyway, no training for me today (yesterday?).  The ITB seems to be getting better, but I did have a little pain near the knee.   Seemed to be in the muscle rather than a tendon, and different from normal soreness.  Did the whole RICE thing today, and there's no pain at all right now, so tomorrow looks like it should be a good day to run.  I should get 4.8-4.9 miles in.

4.18 today. Was extremely humid just before a storm. I didn't hydrate enough before and felt it towards the end.

Well, made it through the race alive, thank you for your well wishes. Mileage posted in my log and on the spreadsheet.

Now I am off to the Okanogan for a week of rest and relaxation, maybe a bit of running, but dont hold me to it.

Take care everyone, have a good week!

Are you talking about me?  Unfortunately, I definitely have a rear.

I sent in our spreadsheets to Shawn.  Too tired to do all the analysis now, but we did a GREAT job this week!!!!  We're almost 50% done for the month!!

4.9 miles for me.  I just added it to the spreadsheet, and it put us at 50.06% for the month!  I'm just over 45% myself.

No running for me til Wednesday...  I felt mostly ok on yesterday's run but still think it's best to take two days off.  Did some swimming and biking today, and if I can get up early enough, I'll swim a bit tomorrow morning.  Wednesday will be a run and if the knee allows it, a bike ride after.

I have easy runs scheduled for Tuesday (if I can get up early after staying up late to watch the Eagles win), Wednesday, and Friday. My mileage this week will be low, since my long run is on Sunday (instead of Saturday) this week, as I have half-marathon to run then.

I'm feeling confident I can beat my Dad on Sunday this year. My Dad and I have walked the Philadelphia Distance Run for the past four years, but I could never keep up with my Dad's walking pace. This year I am hoping to run the entire race, while my Dad is planning on a walking a brisk pace. I just hope his brisk pace isn't faster than my run.

My plan for the week is 3 to 4 miles Tue, 4 on Thursday, and 5 to 6 on Saturday.  We're taking our 4 year old son (almost 5) to a 1 mile fun run/walk for the Step out for Diabetes Saturday so I'll get 1 mile in there.   It's his first run/race and he's looking forward to it.

Plans...hmmm...plans...

Well, 1.08 tonight - speed work after a 12-hour shift.  Calves still sore, I meant to do more, but started feeling it - got wimpy & just decided to go fast instead.

Overall plan:

9 miles for the week.

2 on Saturday when I go to Melbourne to check out the race site (15.8 mi bike & 1/4 mi swim).

Other than than, I'm just hoping to get the whole 9 in this week on these wimpy legs that are just getting used to running at least 8-9 miles every week.

Here's my plan for the week:

Tuesday - 4 miles
Wednesday - 9 miles
Thursday - 4 miles
Saturday - 18 miles

Total for the week: 35 miles

This will be the most miles I've ever done in a week, so I hope it goes well.  I'm pretty nervous about this weekend.

Well, thanks! I feel like you should probably reserve that for after Saturday to see if I can make it through this week.

3.12 this morning. I guess I undershot my estimate a bit. What should I do? I am 79% done for the month and it is just the 16th. Do I / can I up my mileage or do I just keep going, I am not sure how that works. I still have 2 more runs planned for this week, which will put me close to 100% complete.

Uh oh...I'm trying not to panic.

About an hour ago I was in a deep knee bend at work beside a patient's bed doing something & my ankle just collapsed.  The pain was severe & lasted about 30 minutes.  I immediately put ice on it & wrapped it up.

No swelling, no bruising.  I can walk, but it hurts a little (not too much) in basically my whole foot & ankle.

I'm just in "wait & see" mode right now, but doubt I'll get in all my miles this week.  I've got my 1st tri on Oct 5th!

Worried - Kim

Take care of it and rest.  If you're injured, you can't run.  Don't worry about the team, worry about yourself.

I hope everything is ok.

Just got back from 5.28 miles. That just edges me over 50%. Yippie. Also BP I believe if you go over you mileage for the month it makes up for others that might not make there goal. Ill have to check the rules but I believe I saw that.

3 miles this evening. I really should try running more at the end of the day, since I seem to have run faster than normal.
