well, I said I needed 68 mins to hit my goal. I ran at lunch (60 degs out there!!! Snow on Sunday though) did a little extra loop, but I still thought I'd have to add a brick run tomorrow after my ride so I can hit my goal. But turns out, I ran 68:21 today. can't get much closer than that!!!

I just took a walk outside.  I can't believe how warm it is.  Looks like rain is on the way, though.

Congrats to all who are already at their goals.  I've just got a trainer ride tonight and then I am there.

Its not so warm here 33 F.  Anyway got my last swim inf or the month 3000 yards puts me over the top all 3 goals met with a whole day to go... yay.

WTG everyone who met their goal.  And I think we all met the goal of being active and supportive during a winter month so that is good enough for me... Great job guys!!!

10 mile race next weekend, my first time repeating a distance on a race in a year and a half, could be my first non PR for that reason 8(.  Or my first real PR.  I have to beat a pace of 7:48 /mile to get a PR.  How on earth did I run that fast for that far last year... The plannets must have been in aligmnent.

3 for 3!!!! Hit my cycling goal today - actually went over by 40 minutes.

This weather sucks. 60 yesterday, today my ride was in 30 degs with wind gusts. Uggghhh! My fingers took the brunt of it. But I'm happy I got it in. Happier still that I got a warm coffee sitting in front of me. Tonight a quickie winter storm comes through, then tomorrow night possibility of 6-8 inches. WTF??? I"m sick of winter. I was fine until the weather gods teased us with the warmer stuff.

Posted my finals just now.  Thankfully I made my goals.  I have been lazy for the last two days as we are on vacation with family.  However, I am considering going to the gym today on a visitors pass.  Up here in Northern IL, it's way too cold for me to do ANYTHING outside.  I am not at all used to this kind of cold.  So, I can't decide.  Guilt is telling me to go to the gym, but guilt is also telling me to stay and enjoy my family that I rarely get to see.  We leave tomorrow (it's a very short trip) so the visiting will probably win out.  I can always work out tomorrow evening after our flight home.  Am I being obsessive????

I just posted my finals.  I got my swim, bike and run goals.  I was short on my strength training, but after the 15 minutes of crunches I just did to bring it up it looked alittle better.

Yea!  Snow!  Sorry, Walt, but I really like snow and we haven't had much of anything this winter.  Plus, we are going north next weekend to ski and I want there to be lots of snow on the slopes.

Enjoy it, but unfortunately no skiing for me. I'm on my tri plan. I like snow too, but tired of the cold, raw winds. I want to get out and bike in warm weather. Leave the snow to the north where you're going.

I will agree the wind hasn't been pleasant, and I'm itching to get my bike off the trainer.  I'll tell the snow to stay north.

Make sure you tell it WAY north...like New Hampshire!  I don't want it either! Come on spring!

65 mile bike day to finish the month off, mean cross wind for 20 miles, head wind for 25 miles and a short stint of a tail wind.  Puts me at 515 + miles biked this month 8).  With that tail wind I felt like a real cyclist, I covered 22 miles in 50  min.

I also found a mean hill.  I went up it for 3.5 miles at the end of my out and back.  I will have to see how much father up it goes.   I turned around at the Chain put on turnout place.

Sorry guys.  I have been sick and then followed that up with traveling.  I've requested to get dropped.  You guys have been great.  I feel bad as this is the first challenge I've ever had to drop.
