Good Luck Rob.
P90x is fantastic. I am sure you'll find a few workouts you love, maybe even a couple that you love to hate.
Thanks, i hope there is more love than hate.

Chiming in for the first time.  Found the p90x new in a box on Craigslist for $65.  Sounded like a great price so tomorrow is day 1.  Scared and excited at the same time.  I look forward to getting some good advice from all you pros!

If Rob ACTUALLY does it, maybe I will do it again as well. I have gotten pretty lazy since my marathon.

Yeah i have been quite lazy since losing my job. Going to school and sitting in front of a computer is not helping anything. However i do ride to school but its only 3 miles round trip. and this quarter i am only required to go 2 day s a week. That is changing next quarter though.

my biggest competition is going to be me. I truely believe if (when) i make it past the first week i will finish the 90 days. The first few will be my hardest though.

I know I am a noob on the forums here, but I am getting back in my training rhythm after a couple years off of high school sports and am going to get into the tri thing for real. I am going to start P90X in about 10 minutes. Can't wait.

I am like Comet though, the first couple weeks will be hard, but I'll make myself do it.  When I get through those, I will complete the 90 days, no problem.

I am 21 years old, weigh 149.5 lbs, and am 5' 11".

Not doing it to lose weight, but to get in shape, and build some lean, mean, body structure.

well not the best start on my first day. Woke up with a head ache started 2 hrs late and got called away once. came back resumed where i left off. I stopped at the prison cell PU. I have to say i thought i would do much better than i did. I blame about 20% on my headache and the rest on my fitness. I will continue the nexts step tomorrow. Half hour and swetting like a pig.

Comet,

sounds like you need some nutrition, drink some water with a multivitamin and get some protein in your body.

If that doesn't do it, are you used to drinking coffee in the morning? maybe some caffeine or advil to kick that headache.

Then get some rest.

.... My first workout I did at 12 am, lol, I felt like CRAP after. Didn't get sick though. couldn't finish the last 4 minutes of ab ripper x due to a stomach ache. I took a cold shower after, protein shake, and a multi, then slept... Magic plyometrics are in a few hours from now.

For those of you just starting - keep at it! It will be rough at first, but you'll get into the groove eventually, and it will be worth it.

I'm in week 10, have lost 12 pounds (from 178 to 166), and have gone from 18% body fat to 12%. I felt pretty beat up and sore the first week, but my body adjusted and the soreness went away. It's still hard, cause you keep pushing yourself further (more reps, heavier weights, deeper squats, fewer modifications to some of the moves etc.), but that's part of the fun of it also - seeing yourself do more than you could imagine at the start.  The first time I did ab ripper I had to take a lot of breaks during most of the moves, and now I can go non-stop through most all of the moves, and even beyond on some (I'm up to 80 mason twists at the end ).

So again, keep at it, you will thank yourself in a few months.

Day two is in the books. Cardio x made me sweat. I slept in till nine today, feel quite a bit better than yesterday. Still a tiny bit of a headache, probly cause i havnt had but two diet pepsis in the last 3 days. Trying to ween (sp?) myself off them.
As far as the work out went i had to push pause a few time but i did finish. and i think i need to clean my garage so i canwork out in there instead of my front room. anything that require a jump and reach i am smacking the ceiling. first time hurt quite bad. When i did the p90x test i had a 14" vertical leap.
so once i get my homework done im out to clean the garage, hopoefully be done this week end.

how are the rest of you guys and gals doin.

edit to add: tomorrow is arm shoulders and ab ripper, im a little frightened.
