ebshot - 2009-12-06 2:59 PM Hey there Vixens!  First time I have checked in today.  Shocking.  I ran a lovely (yet cold) 5k this morning.  Pretty happy with how I did.  I finished in 27:56.  I would have been about 20 seconds faster but I had to stop to tie my shoe.  Are you kidding me????  I wasn't happy.  But, I finished 3rd in my division!!  Pretty happy about that.  I got a fabulously warm fleece blanket.  Sweet!  Hope everyone else had a great Sunday.

crimefighter2 - 2009-12-05 7:05 PM got my 5K in this morning - it was cold - but well worth it!  I had a very good time.  Coldes race I  have ever done - which really isn't saying much.  (I have only gotten back into running)  Any ways - have a great weekend everyone - and go team!

oh yeah - and something else in my signature about losing the November challenge...need to update that....

Nicely done!

Good evening team, nice to see everyone working hard on their goals, keep up the good work!  I just finished off a 40k ride on the drainer, followed by a 5k on the dreadmill and oddly enough still have energy left.  I think I just earned some serious sofa time now.

That is quite a workout!

KOM - 2009-12-06 2:30 PM Well it was sunny at least I can say that, otherwise it was an irritating run.  30 degrees with a sharp wind that kept hitting me in the face every time I turned a corner and lots of clothing issues.  I am bagging tonight's swim in favor of some family time and tree decorating.  I will try to swim 3 x next week to make it up. My Y is replacing the floors in the room I teach spin in so class has been canceled from the 9th through the 22nd.  Bummer since it throws off my cycling schedule but it also frees up some nights to swim, and since swim is a challenge goal I will focus there.

You teach spin?  Cool...

what up, KATHY is it Y improvement month.  the fitness center at my Y is gonna be closed from the 14-18th to install new equipment, its gonna be a good thing when its all done, but in the meantime it does rearrange the schedule just a tad!

way to go seeing it as an opportunity to shift your focus for a time.

as for your run.  BAH!  dont you just love those sorts of runs?

enjoy your family time and decorating.

Finally back from my trip... a little rushed but I did get a trainer ride in. Need to make up a run workout from this weekend, but should be able to fit it in this week. I need to go eat some dinner!

Well challenge participants, the first six days of the Du-December challenge are in the books and here is how the results so far look:

In the lead is the:

Vixens Revisited with 18.6% of goal met (19% of the month is already gone...)

The Vixens also lead in the secondary, yet still important post count contest...

Here are the full results

18.6% Vixens Revisted
14.7% Frostbite Force
13.0% Evil Elves
12.0% Christmas Cookies

Ya'll keep up the good work - Team leaders, let me know about injuries, etc. so that adjustments can be made if necessary.

Morning guys.  What a crazy weekend.  It went by WAY too fast.  It seems like we were running around all weekend.  I am staying home to clean today.  Such fun.  Not really but it needs to be done.  My floors are nasty with all the snow and mess that comes with it.  And laundry!  Yikes, I have a mountain to wash, dry, and fold.  Shaping up to be a great day!

Trainer ride will be squeezed in!  Half marathon training starts this week too.  I'm pretty excited!

Hey Vixens...checking back in...it's been a busy week with the end of the semester (I'm a professor) - the students have finals now so I'm planning on painting our guest room in my free time before I have to start grading the exams.

I'm a little behind but have rearranged my training plan to take advantage of my two weeks of "freedom" from my job.

Have a great week!

Good Job team!

and thank you to ashort33 for running the challenge.  My victim was a no show for my trial, so now I need to decided today on biking or running.  Depending on equipment available, the choice may be made for me.

Good morning team, I totally blew off training yesterday and aside from laundry, making banana bread, walking the dog and taking my Dad to Costco(a sport if you actually go on a sunday, what was I thinking??) I did nothing, a lot of couch time and I blew off my swim last night and oddly didn't feel guilty.

Happy Monday Vixens!  Just got back from the gym and did my swim and run, drainer ride yesterday.  So, I am on target.  I am wondering if I can include the fact that my Christmas tree fell down in the middle of the night in my training for today.....?  And it looked so pretty before I went to bed!

AFTER NOON VIXENS!

first off, WAY TO GO TEAM ON OUR FIRST PLACE this the first week of the challenge.

wooo hoooo!

and WAY to GO ERICA on you FABULOSO 5K....anychance you could come to PGH this Saturday and pace my azz to a 3rd place finish?

i went out to run early, 25 degree 4 miler.  HTFU points for me.

my reward:  a tanning session.  1st one until i get some color on these uber white shoulders of my mine so that i dont end up being the talk of the company christmas party for all the WRONG reasons.  LOL.

got my two almost strapless dresses to choose from, both of which will look so much better if i have nice light tan.

i need to post the pics of me in my dresses so you can vote which one i should wear to the party.  im having a hard time deciding.

AGAIN, VIXENS, CONGRATS on our FIRST PLACE FINISH!

keep on keepin on.

I would LOVE to come and run with you!  How fun would that be?  But, alas, I have to go to a Christmas brunch on Saturday.  Can't miss that!   I'm even blowing off Cole's behavior therapy to go.  Shhhhh, don't tell!

Edited cause I'm a dork who can't spell!
