why oh why do i read non-TAN threads?

ohhhh is it a good one. I need to be entertained... Point me in the direction I have popcorn and a bottle of water right now.

Go take a look at the pics from the best DIY construction ever that I posted the other day.  They are not only highly entertaining, but will also leave you feeling like no matter what, you're better at putting anything together than the guy in the thread.  Even better for me is that the neighbourhood is just about an hour or so away from where I lived in Vancouver.  Awesome!

Be right back.

I am really good at getting on top.

I'm chomping at the bit to get your review.  Check out Twist the Throttle yet?  I really think you would like it.

I did find it eventually - it's not on Netflix, but I was able to find it on the Discovery Channel website!  I only got to see the BMW segment, though it looks like there are others as well about the other manufacturers?

The BMW segment was great!  I had no idea that their bikes had set so many speed records over the years!  Really, really, really makes me want to get a bike.

I've wanted one of those for years!!!! Something like the K 1600 GT would be nice!

I liked them all.  The BMW talking about their shaft drive, the artistic approach of the MV Agusta, the praying mantis styling of the Yamahas, etc.  They dig deep into the history and their design philosophy.  For example, Ducati still has the approach of a more "hand built" bike where Honda has perfected the robotic precision of manufacturing.  Cool stuff.

I loved my VFR for sport touring and had a number of 1000km days on him.  I don't like what Honda has done to the new generations of VFR, but a good friend of mine (who had the same bike) has told me that this is much like it, but with a more comfortable riding position and more oomph!

Thankfully I think I've convinced Tony that he wants his motorcycle license as well.

Many of these companies built things for WWII and needed to find new work when it was over so went to machining motorcycles.

FJR or Concours or ????  I liked the older Triumph Trophy 900 for the sport touring.  I really liked my SV650S for my work bike, but I had too many toys in the garage, so I got rid of a few motorcycles and now just down to my touring Kawasaki.  I have ridden many different motorcycles over the years and like all of them in one way or another.  Can't wait to start riding again in a few days.

You can have my Katana 750 for $1500.  Re-jetted by yours truly, Yosh exaust, K&N air filter - all to boost HP.  It's worth a lot more and low miles, but I just need to make room in my garage.

why oh why do i read non-TAN threads?

ohhhh is it a good one.

I am single and I would like you to prove that.

Now you can give me that ride we always joked about on your handle-bars :-)

I am guessing, I will be single until I am 60ish...cause we all know ther will always be the 80 year olds to chase!

This is why no one likes you, dude. Always making fun and projecting your insecurities on everyone else. You, sir, are a no talent a$$ clown.

Please stop talking about bikes.

I was about to buy one but the $1400 Vet Bill and the $2800 in income tax I owe thanks to my EX and the fact she keeps dodging me on her half of the Vet bill along with her brother withdrawing my RRSP instead of transferring costing me the tax issue I had to kiss my Bike buh bye.

I had a hell of a deal lined up too.

You can have my Katana 750 for $1500.  Re-jetted by yours truly, Yosh exaust, K&N air filter - all to boost HP.  It's worth a lot more and low miles, but I just need to make room in my garage.

Too bad you live so far away. I would consider that.

I had a Vulcan 1500 lined up for $6000 my buddy has owned it since new and has put about 600 miles on it a year for the last 4 years.
