Years ago when I was a personal trainer there was this gal who walked around the locker room naked. Now, I'm no prude and nudity is somewhat of a hobby for me however, this was pretty extreme. I've known women to leave the shower or come in from the pool and 'air dry' not my style but I guess I get it. This gal used to come to the gym, do some moderate cardio on the eliptical and then strip down and simply walk around naked like it was happy hour or something. I would have to go in to go to the bathroom, make a quick change or mess with my hair and there she would be. She would approach me and ask me questions as if she were fully clothed and we were making small talk at some party. WEIRD! I guess that is one of the advantages of working out at a YMCA during the day with mostly stay at home moms or retirees. Not much of a meat market but that's a good thing. On another note I met with the ART therapist dude again this morning and he massaged (beat me with a baseball bat) my IT band again and also watched me run outside a bit which I think was helpful. I need to ice my knee but he wants me to go on a short run later today if I get the chance. I'll hopefully have some yellow in my logs soon. Where, When, & What kind of happy hour is this? What up? I have curly hair that I wear straight most days, and it gets to be a mess if I wash it twice a day like I have been this week. I need a new system... which likely means trying to do a.m. workouts... which just don't work for me 90% of the time. When he toured, we'd pick whatever city we thought would be the most fun for a weekend getaway, and buy tickets for the concert as icing on the cake. Have to admit, The Boss is looking a bit tired lately (and always worry Clarence is going to stroke out on stage). I have Bon Jovi tickets in the Garden in May. Old but living it. |

There are still green letters spelling out Springsteen on his door at my Grandparents house in Sweden. He even wrote out the lyrics to some song on a desk in school (yeah not the most attentive student ever) He owns all his albums. He never actually went to a concert though until 2001. Mom got him tickets for his birthday. They had a great time and to this day when his songs come on the radio they look at me and say "hey I saw this live in concert did you know that?" The past week or so I have been around 202-203lbs, but after my ride today and after lunch (Oatmeal with 2 tbls of Peanut butter and 20 ounces of water) I weighed in at 199.00!!!!! I know after dinner I will be above 200 again but I haven't seen this on a scale since I was 19, and I'm currently 36. A little over 2 years ago I was 268lbs (may have been higher), last May when I started riding and running I was about 230lbs. This makes placing 3rd last Sunday all that more special...... it will be my last race as a Clyde. As a reward......One Ice Cold Shiner. |

Then tops it off with "I like the girls". APPAULING!! Dont stand for that sort of herassment. I have a total routine when I change, and it involves leaving my shoes on until I can sit down to swap them out because I don't want to be barefoot on the floor. So I had stripped off my dress and was hanging it up, standing there in under garments and heels. Random woman walks up and says, "you have a great belly button." Nothing special about that part of my anatomy, so I just smiled and said, "thanks." Then she says, "Yes, I'm a lesbian but don't worry, I'll stop hitting on you once you get completely naked," and then walks away. It was probably one of the more bizzare exchanges that I've ever had with another human being. I'm not a huge fan of getting hit on at the gym, regardless of gender, but that was just strange. At least she was really really hot. Hehe. |

The weather here in Houston the last few days (and including this coming weekend) has been and will be awesome... *not trying to rub it in - frozen peeps - just sayin'* Sunday - a nice ride out in Chappell Hill (45miles) and I am planning on jumping in the pool again to work on some drills from Tuesday's analysis. My wheels arrived Wednesday... the new training front is mounted and ready to roll (and WOW it is smooth)... I need to pick up a new Conti GP 4K tire for the SRAM wheel, then I will give it a test run. Looking to replace the barke calipers and then I will get the QRoo all set up as if it were race day and post some bike porn... I am stoked about the bike! |
