hey guys!
I sent my phone for fixing but Im getting it tomorow and look! I missed a couple of pages!  Hope everyone is well with their training and racing!
On sunday I did a 4k open water swim and finished 1:31.  Eeek!  Who'll be swimming with me in that pace?  I assume ill be finishing around 1:26ish or later.  Anyhow, I placed my myself behind the line so that everybody behind me can run over me, but everybody was so nice and went around me!!!  It was a good experience and lesson.  I need a new wetsuit cause my wetsuit gives me shoulder pain, so I may rent a better quality wetsuit comes race day.

Anyhow, are we still meeting for mirror lake swim on friday around 7-7:30pm ish?
Shall we connect here? or email?

Tdot, that sounds about my pace.  I did Quassy HIM in 38 min. so double that and add some time for the longer length/pace and Ill be somewhere around 1:25.  Maybe we can switch up and pull for 1/2 laps or something and mayber recruit others for drafting/pulling.

Im still planning on swimming Friday night but only one lap as Im planning on the full bike and a short run after.  I also have to fit a few beers in somewhere.

We should start a list of BT'ers that will be in LP this weekend.  How can we do that to exchange cell phones and emails?  Any ideas anyone?

I survived LP training camp last weekend Did one loop of the course Fri and some COLD swimming (Air temp). Sat started with more freeze to death swim sets and then the hardest bike loop I have ever done. Started with the climb to Whiteface and then was a climbfest thereafter. Then ran 40 mins After about 100k. Sun ran half the course which was much better than biking!! I am going back this weekend to ride the course twice hope it is warmer!!

I'll probably be close to you as well in the swim. Maybe 1:20??? When I swam the so called 1.2 at TTT my half time was like 36 minutes, but I still think their course was short. There wasn't a million people around me either like Lake Placid will be. I'll be at Mirror Lake on Friday at 7. I need some help swimming in a group!

I'll be up there with my 3 maps! lol. I'm fearing of getting lost. Yes I said 3! ha! Mine blew away last year and then we got off course when we did one loop. I was dehydrated, cranky , hungry and kept yelling "do you know where we are !!???" what did you do for hydration fill ups? Did you stop at gas stations or go back to where you parked? This year I will def have my nutrition right!

You guys are killing me - sounds like an awesome BT meet-up in the works for this weekend! I think I am safe in saying that the rest of us look forward to road and water reports...

We have a group that is planning on being in LP for a little training Thursday evening June 21 through Sunday June 24. We will be doing our big brick on Saturday but will want to cut the course a little short. Is OK to cut across from upper Jay to Wilmington via County Highway 12/Springfield Road and Fox Farm Road?

I'll be up there this weekend as well with Start-tri camp.  Our schedule's a little different than EN but we'll be swimming 7 on Thurs., Eating and drinking afterwards at High Peaks Cyclery, swimming Fri afternoon  @ 2-4 and big brick day Sat.  Longer runs on Sun. Hope to see some of you up there. Looking forward to it! Just put my climbing cassette on my race wheels so I'm all set to go.  Bringing my road bike up there this weekend (cuz I injured my neck 2 wks. ago and still sore in aero position) and will make a decision road vs. tri bike for race after this weekend.

Thursday

6:00pm -- Welcome Presentation at High Peaks Cyclery (map) + Coach Talk

7:00pm+ -- Drinks and/or Dinner Out on your own. (Placid Brewery?).

In between the welcome presentation and the dinner we will have to walk to the restaurant.  Lag behind the crowd and we can meet and greet each other directly at the outside of the front door of High Peaks Cyclery.  I will make a small BT sign and hold it up - and feel silly.  This way if seadocha or others are not comfortable coming in to hear the presentation we can meet after.  Then at least we will know the faces for the rest of the weekend.  Is this okay with everyone?  If not please suggest an alternative.  I realize not everyone is going to this and their hotels might be far but I cant think of anything else.   Sorry to everyone else that wont be up there this weekend - I dont mean to rub it in and take up the space posting.  We will submit good water and road reports and maybe some nice pics for everyone.   Jim.

Did you realize that was for Thursday and not Friday? I thought we are meeting Friday at 7pm for the swim? Maybe you can bring your BT sign to the swim on Friday? I will be wearing an ORCA wetsuit. The Orca lettering is in an aqua blue. I will have a white HFP racing cap on. I'm short so I might be hard to find...

My friend is on lake placid right now and she said she rode in hail and thunder this morning. And Saturday calls for missing rain! I'll wear my muskoka Finisher hat to Thursday's registrations. I may be a little late as I'm leaving here at noon and it'll take me 6hrs to get there.
