triguynewbie - 2008-10-16 12:53 PM It is only boring if you are lazy or not such a good Officer. I always stir things up and have fun. If not, it is hard to stay awake driving aroud for 12 straight hours every night. Especially when you have a day job. And Nibbs.

What's the day job?-besides being daddy.

I am a General Contractor and I own a small few employee construction company. And my favorite job that you mentioned DADDY.

I recall you mentioned something about construction at some point...but it was too many posts ago for me to remember clearly.

Many people overlook parenting when considering work loads-and it is a full time job.

Parenting is by far the hardest job but also the most rewarding. Here are my babies.

It's an awesome pic.  It seems that they keep your arms full.

We started doing that picture years ago when they were tiny. Every year they get bigger and the picture changes. I used to hold them all in front of me know I have to have my oldest on my shoulders.

I think that your oldest was teetering.  Your head must be very securely attached to the rest of you. Laughing

It is going to take a lot to kill that one. I will have to stay in shape just for that.

I figured that must be why you started doing tris.

She is not the bravest of the three. Quite the opposite actually. She always has a death grip on me. But she does appear to be going over in that one.

My middle daughter signed up for a tri before I did. When I started running with her I decided to do it as well. Now I am hooked and want to race all the time.

My dad wouldn't have minded if I knew what it was to experience fear as a child.  Especially when it came to skiing.  My sister was a little more cautious and he would be stuck encouraging her while I was tearing out of sight on the ♦♦ runs.

I was slowed down a little bit after my close encounter with a recently formed crevice/crevasse in the middle of a less popular run.  (I think that not as many people used it because it took longer to get there and back)

It seems that tris are addictive-at least for a lot of us.

Out running or enjoying a fine glass of red...

Wow, I go to the gym and eat dinner and miss all kinds of good stuff.

Let's see...

On the topic of Big 10 football...I married a Wolverine, it is all my fault. I root for Iowa, but they suck this year. I root for Illinois, but they were overrated. See - it is all my fault.

On the topic of BBQ...I made a really nice pork char siu yesterday in the crockpot and then we had it tonight as pork tacos. Yum!

On the topic of the awesome daddy picture...VERY COOL, but I am going to wait to see you balance 3 tweens on your shoulders. That will rock! Also, love the family of girlies...I have 2 of my own and Sugar Daddy (my husband, just in case you haven't caught that sad reference) feels a little, um, lonely in the testosterone department. We did get a boy dog, but he's fixed.

On the topic of my afternoon...teh suxxor. I finished teaching, went to the gym, went to the grocery store and bought a bunch of groceries only to have my credit card declined. Turns out Amex's computer system went to hell this afternoon. Nice. I had words with Amex. I had more words with Amex. I had words with Sugar Daddy about cancelling our Amex. Made me crabby.

But dinner was good and so now I'm not in a mood. And I have a few calories left for wine. Which is ALL GOOD.

I have a few calories left for beer Tomorrow is gonna be great. I will swim before work, work, take DD to her conference, pack up everyone, drop kids at grandparents for their trip to the beach and head off with my hubby for our weekend in Charlotte. Free at last, free at last

Not that I don't love my kids, but it is nice to get a couple break, especially when me and the mister have been passing like ships in the night lately.
