Regular 69 Silver Spring, Maryland | Subject: RE: Ironman USA Lake Placid : Official Thread I'm with you Ralph, slow swim, decent bike, hold on for the run and be an Ironman at the end of the day. Starting to go crazy waiting to get this thing started. FYI, love the pockets on the front, I always struggle to reach around my tri top for my nutrition. Your wife may have stumbled on a great business idea. Good luck to everyone. Is there a plan for a Monday afternoon beer gathering? Doug
QUOTE]RalBorseth - 2011-07-18 7:20 PM I need the extra pockets in my top because I'm going to be on the course a lot longer than most of you guys! You'll be well into the run by the time I get off of the bike. I anticipate being in the 14 hour range. I'm a mediocre swimmer and not much better on the bike. But hopefully at the end of the day I'll be an Ironman! That's my one and only goal for Sunday. Looking forward to meeting you all later this week! Ralph |

I've used the tool before but don't know how to set it up... I am walking out the door to leave for Lake Placid right now. If no one else wants to set up the Google Doc I can when I get to my hotel tonight. For all of you leaving later this week, I hope you have safe travels, and I will see you in LP. Ok, I just quickly set up the google doc. Click on the link and add your information. Anyone is able to edit the doc. Feel free to change up the doc anyway you want it. Good thing I have a blue P2 so I can tell our bikes apart. |

Looks like a team car! I'm jealous you're up there already. We are driving up Thursday. I was going to work Wednesday but I put in for another day of PTO; I'll be worthless at work (well, more so...) |

Master 1402 Cumming, Georgia | Subject: RE: Ironman USA Lake Placid : Official Thread Hey everyone, I set up a page for Ironman Coeur d'Alene that had a list of all of the BT members and their splits and the page was auto updated throughout the day. I would be happy to do that for Lake Placid. I'll post the link later this evening or first thing tomorrow. Just keep adding your info to the spreadsheet and I'll grab a copy race morning. Veteran 283 Va Beach | Subject: RE: Ironman USA Lake Placid : Official Thread I just made the 10 hour drive from Va Beach today, planning on a light ride later. On the trip into town noticed road crews out patching Route 86 (the Keene descent) the the number of rocks that hit my car while driving by, I sure hope the sweep up the loose gravel. Anyway it looks better (from my car) than it did last month riding down on bike, we shall see. Drive/fly or whatever safe, see ya soon! |
