Haha youtube it... it involves that rock and hill we "lunatics" have here!  Besides with an entrance dubbed the most exciting 25 seconds in college football you know the rest of the game is going to be AMAZING!!  Not to mention we set the record for loudest stadium

Haha, it's something my husband says when he has gastrointestinal distress.   Maybe it's one of those have-to-be-there comments that isn't really as funny as it is in my head.

Is it bad that I am having a brownie as my post swim snack?  In my defense that is the furthest I have every swum.  So that makes it ok right?  Swam with music today.  Made it much better.  However, I think I do need to upgrade the headphones.

it'd be better if you were having a beer with it but considering the milestone.  this is fine.  congrats!  and i just read your log too.  i miss the outdoor pool.  being in there when the sun comes up is awesome.  but you can keep that damn snow in the mountains.   great job!!!!

If that is your recovery snack make sure there are nuts in there for protein.

I thought of that.  It has peanut butter swirled in. 

After my swim this morning I had to rush to get the car to the dealer for a service.  I left my b'fast/lunch in my car (hope the mechanic enjoys my sammy) so had to scrounge for something at the office.  I wound up eating an entire tub of *Jif-to-go* with pretzel rods.  Would much rather have had a brownie with peanut butter swirls. 

Weekend plans...

Off tomorrow... getting travel trailer ready for the trip on Saturday ------> Wednesday - Fairfield Lake State Park... 2hrs north of Houston.  Some time away from the hustle & bustle! 

Saturday morning I am participating in (notice I did not say RACE) a fun 10K run... Bayou City Classic! a huge race with costumes, centipedes, super fast elite guys & gals, and most importantly... free beer in the post race celebration!  Some locally brewed Saint Arnold Beer!  mmmmm good!

Head home after th run, load up the family, hook the trailer and make like the Griswalds and head 2 hrs north for R&R!  Come back next Wednesday... and the rest of Spring break is packed with two trips to the Houston Rodeo and my oldest's 19th Birthday celebration on Saturday!  I'll need to come back to work to recover! lol!

Two death valleys huh?  Neither are the true...   there is only one TRUE Death Valley, and you have to RUN through it.... if you can!    Bad Water 135!

All this snack talk this early... I need some food!  My plain bagel, PB & Honey this AM is all but gone... and my stomach wants some brownie, peanut butter, pretzel love! 

All this talk of food (especially Kim's brownies) is making me HUNGRY!  The training tapeworm has returned.

Is that what that is?  I must admit, the brownie wore off fast and am now onto my second "breakfast" (the brownie is just a snack).  I remember when I was training for marathons back in the day and folks would call me at work I'd always be eating.  One guy even said it was impossible to get me on the phone without me eating.  I know that a majority of them thought I was huge due to all the eating I did.  They were shocked when they finally saw a picture of me. 

Yep.  I eat, an hour later I'm starving, I eat again and yet again starving in an hour....and repeat for the rest of the day.  My co-workers used to laugh at me & say that I spent more time eating during the day than actually working (possibly true)....everytime they came to my office I was always eating or there was food on my desk. 

I am so happy right now I could just pee.  My half ironman is now back on at the end of June.  You can't see me but I am doing the happy dance.  I am not sure that it is the wisest thing for me to do but we decided to just make it happen.  Anyone want to come to Tucson and stay with my pets?  I have a few friends goign to the race with me as well so I'll have company.  Plus I get to spend a few nights in Portland hanging with friends that I miss.  So my race schedule is now set.

Now, if only I could get my swim down to under an hour.   I think I am looking at roughly a 7 hour race.  Not really sure on the bike.  I hear it is quite hilly.  Well, in one direction.  A few trips up Mt. Lemmon should help with that.
