I'm trying to stay out of the georgia prayer service thread.  It's hard, but I don't anticipate that any of the things I say would be productive or well-received.

Why ya gotta do it? Now I HAVE to check it out. I don't wanna, but I have to.

I will say that I am surprised at the high level of discussion in there.  Less bickering in that religious thread.

Yeah I have nothing to add that isn't inflammatory, so I'll just keep my heathenistic views to myself.

And you're right, AD, it's pretty high brow over there. It's funny to me, as an atheist, to see how people intelligently defend their religion while intelligently defame other people's religion.

Keep Ryan away from her. He's trying to scare her away so we focus all our attention on him. I think he's sweet on us.

And by scaring her away, you mean he is hitting on her?  So much to learn, lol.

Random question for you guys... any of you ever written or happen to have a template for a race liability waiver? I'm working on one for the Austin Beer Mile and it's stressing me out. We're all gonna get sued!!!!!!!!

Heh. Couldn't you just modify one you get when you register for another race? As in, go to a race website, and start the process for registering, get to the waiver point, and copy-paste-edit? Perhaps collect an assortment and mush them all together...

Most of the races when you sign up have them. For instance I just did the Silver Strand Half marathon and they had it on their registration. Check out the link below and click on the download link for a paper copy. There are more out there but this is one example.

Pretty much that's exactly what I've done but it's kind of a weird situation considering there is drinking taking place as part of the competition. Not to mention, there is the whole underage drinking issue, drinking and driving, basic general liability having to do with a race... blah blah blah. I'm not an attorney. I work in professional insurance and have done some work with liqour liability and such but this is a unique situation.

Thank you! There are so many out there. It's hard to choose what parts to take and from where. My biggest issue is now becoming the alchohol and how to deal with those liability issues.
