Champion 7931 Sequim, Washington | Subject: RE: Nibbs XXIV i just decided to do a sprint tri on Saturday. It is on the same course as my firs tri (on father's day). It will be neat to see my improvement. My goal is to improve my time by 15 minutes-it may be a little ambitious, but my swim, T1 and run times have really improved. I am going to meet and carpool with snailfish. He lives about an hour north of me-this way he will have half the the driving and gas costs. |

Open water- a pool swim would suck! It is in a small man-made lake, and it is only 250 yards. But because it is only 250 yards I would like to skip the wetsuit(mine is really tight in the calves and takes longer than I would like to get off). This weekend is suppose to be warm so the water will hopefully still be in the sixties. Edited by mchally 2008-09-25 5:30 PM |

That means most of your time will have to be cut between your bike and your run and some in transitions (of course no wetsuit will shorten a lot right there)..... |

Champion 7931 Sequim, Washington | Subject: RE: Nibbs XXIV geauxtri - 2008-09-25 3:45 PM In the first tri I really over did the swim so my T-1 time was around 6 minutes. I could barely stay upright when I came out of the water. My swim time may be about the same w/out the wet suit-but I will lose 5 minutes in T-1. I took it easy on the bike and walked most of the run. I will push myself throughout the event this time-I am more aware of what I can manage.mchally - 2008-09-25 4:29 PM geauxtri - 2008-09-25 2:40 PM mchally - 2008-09-25 3:22 PM i just decided to do a sprint tri on Saturday. Exactly. Writing the post got it stuck there again too. That was a pretty Dee-ish thing to do wasn't it Here is some Talking Heads that I've had stuck for a while:
And you may find yourself living in a shotgun shack
A "Dee-ish thing to do"???? What? Someone did something evil? And I wasn't here to see it? Wahhhhh. |

That would be the Evil Dee Triathlon. 1) Swim in a squiggly line. 2) Swim in a straight line. 3) Swim in a circle. Yep. That's three, which makes it a tri. Oh, and good luck finding the Finish Line. It's a moving target. Only I know where it is.... And if you stop before you reach it, you get zapped with a cattle prod. Edited by D001 2008-09-25 6:48 PM |

OH I KNOW WHAT THE MOVING TARGET IS!!!!!!! LOL And the cattle prod is extra special when you are in the water. The moving target is a swan. you need to catch it and put it in a cage to win. BTW swans are really mean and they bite. Hard.
