It's a proud moment in a Dad's life when the offspring utter those magic words.  Make sure to write down the date in the child's baby book.

So much for him being a vegan ultra marathoner.

With the words "breakfast" and "utters" in the same sentence, I was somehow expecting something different.

Also, make sure to snap a pic of the child and said bacon.

Nice!

A few weeks ago my seven-year-old son and I were eating lunch at a restarant when he loudly announced, "Hey dad! That lady looks like Geddy Lee from Rush!"

I was torn. On one hand I was proud that he recognized Geddy Lee. On the other I was mortified by him making that announcement in public.

A proud parenting moment for sure.

Last weekend my husband and I went for an OWS and came home to our 15 year old holding out a plate of perfectly cooked bacon.  No other food, just bacon and for US!  Of course he's been grounded and it was a feeble attempt at getting to do something but still.  We of course ate all the bacon before telling him no, you can't have your cell phone back but feel free to try to bribe with bacon anytime.  LOL
