I don't believe so.  The website still says:

I just signed up and this will be my first IM.  I'm living in Columbus, OH - anyone out there want to start training together or offer me some advice?

Welcome aboard!  I think there are about 75 people on BT who are doing this race next year.  Best I can tell, this is the single most popular IM on BT if not the single biggest participation of any triathlon by BTers.

Best advice I have is to use the training logs provided on BT.  This will allow you to stay focused on your training and will also allow others to see your training and make suggestions.

The second peice of advice I'll give is this, beware of who you take advice from.  You might want to even consider getting a coach....depending on your triathlon experience and your goals.  In open forums like this, you can get all kinds of idiotic, crackpot ideas.  For example, this year I trained my long bike rides up to about 90 miles with only water.  My 'teachnique' was aimed at training my body to use fat stores...but it's probably not sound training and definately not for everyone!

Good luck with your training and we'll see you in 9 months or so.

good advice Rogillio -

My past experience has been maybe 7 sprint/olym races and 1 half (07 munci endurathon) over the past 3 years.   I swam in college so I am not too concerned with the swim leg at all.  I ran the Columbus marathon last summer but the longest bike ride I've ever done is the 56m in the half.  I had some friends do the IMKY in 07 where I am getting some advice but the more the merrier.

 Cool site

I got an email from the IMKY RD last night and he confirmed that they were increasing the number of entrants to IMKY to account for about 25% DNS.  He said they still had about 200 slots left but did not volunteer how many entrants they were allowing this year.

I wonder if 25% DNS is higher than other IMs?  And if so, why?

When are they going to make you an honorary IMKY ambassador?
