Got back last night from my race and found the Internet down. (Local T-Storms knocked it out I guess) It is still raining here with a bit of Thunder but my iNet came back up this morning. (Will post our weekly results in just a minute)

Over the weekend, I did a 6 mile recovery run on Saturday, a 1 mile warmup before my race on Sunday and another 3 mile cooldown after the race. (Plus 6.2 miles for the race)

Had a blast and set a new PB time for the Olympic Distance and also ran my fastest 10k Ever. (Beat my old Open 10k PB time by 58 Seconds)

Week: 64.2 Miles

MTD: 310.2 Miles - 100% Complete (300 Miles as of Saturday)

Heh, I'll see that and raise you one. I set a new Olympic PB by 30 minutes yesterday (granted, I had only done one other one two years ago and just about DNFd due to GI issues). And I also set a new 10K PR by 4 minutes. It hurt like crazy, but I held it under 7:00/mile. Today it really hurts.

So for the last bit of the challenge, another 6.2 miles for me to put me at 62.2 total.

Week 4 Results

* NADS RULE once again!

* Tomorrow is the last day!!  Come on everyone, get as many miles toward your goal as you can!!

(What am I saying!  I have a few more myself - which I will get done - I won't let you down Okras!)

* Remember that 100% is the highest you can go - unless there is a tie for 1st; then we'll look at additional miles run over the goal.

* Remember, log your miles by tomorrow night (Tuesday), Captains will report on Wed, and I'll post final results on Thursday.

* Please look over the spreadsheet for mistakes or omissions.  Thanks!!!

* BTW - there are some running ANIMALS in this challenge.  I'm impressed.

OK everyone, we are drafting behind the 2nd place team (Less than 1% behind them) and looking very strong. The standings that Shawn posted as based on Saturday's Cutoff but here are the current standings that include Sunday's Run and any workouts that were posted today:

------------------Total----Goal---Complete
APW0397-----------62.20-----50-----100.00%
Waterdog---------310.20----250-----100.00%
RTocco------------70.31-----65-----100.00%
TriOK-------------46.60-----75------62.10%
Cadmus------------84.36-----75-----100.00%
Coldringo06-------85.06----100------85.06%
Parker815---------31.00-----31-----100.00%
LazyMarathoner---116.37----120------96.98%

-----------------719.03----766------93.87%

Looks like just about everyone is either done, or very close to done. Outstanding month everyone and if you happen to fall short, not to worry. What you have logged still counts for the team to get us as close as possible.

If anyone has access to TriOK's Logs, (Or if She is lurking), maybe we can get an update on where she is currently at in terms of miles. (I think what I have is at least a week old)

I wonder if I can run 15 miles tomorrow?  Without ending up in a hospital?

Probably not, but I'll see what I can do.

I hit the treadmill for 2 easy miles last night. I'm done. 64.2 miles for me.

Robyn (triOK) did 5.4 miles on Sunday. Otherwise, she's been a slacker. Only 52 miles for the month. Guess it's good some of us have gone extra to pick up her slack.

So my ITB held up just fine and now my left foot is killing me after Sunday's 18. I had a 4-month battle with PF this winter so I can't risk another run just yet. Looks like I'm going to have the end the month at 97% and I can't apologize enough. I thought I'd be able to do 4-5 today without an issue.

So when you're finished flogging ColdRingo, you can take turns flogging me too. I hate not meeting a challenge goal more than anything

Yeah, but, I did 12 of my 15 miles today at lunch (holy crap my legs are sore).  If I can eek out 3 more miles when I get home tonight - I'll be flog free this month!

Nah, no flogging necessary

We all did great with the challenge this month.

We all either made our goal or came very close to doing so and that after all is what this is really all about anyway.

Great job everyone

oh, I have a short recovery run planned on the trails around my house tonight after work. I did a short ride at lunch down by the beach to shake the legs out and I am ready to continue with Week 2 of my taper.

You're putting me to shame! I'd have to hop on one leg to squeeze out my last 3.6 miles.

Nothing else for Robyn. Like I said at the beginning, she's a slacker. Though with a trip to Cancun, can you blame her?

Great job folks!

Nice job team, 2nd place overall and no one touched our mileage (WaterDog *might* have had something to do with that....).  Laughing

Was a lot of fun, and I definitely pushed myself harder than I would have otherwise - thanks for having me on the team.

Good luck with whatever your goals are for October!
