Subject: RE: Any doctor or med student around here?I never did, but my husband took the MCAT 10 years ago. Here are some thoughts from him:
First, you should know it is like any other standardized test. In other words, how you perform on other standardized tests will be a good prediction of how you will do on the MCAT. I did one of the prep courses (I think it was Kaplan ) and ended up with a 35 (12, 12, 11 ). I was accepted to my first choice of medical schools with this score. I think the benefit of the prep was to eliminate any errors one might make based on confusion/difficulty with the format, rather than the actual knowledge.
