Best Moment: 10/7/2006 around 10 PM when our very own dumpster kissed me unexpectedly. "I got a feeling, everything is gonna change.."

Proudest Moment: 12/4/2005 leaving my abusive marriage, moving in with my friend Kathy, and deciding that I deserved "more", and I was worth "more".

Worst Moment: 12/5/2004 Phone call from my Mom, telling me to get to the hospital ASAP as my Dad was not doing well. (He had already passed away, but she didn't want me to panic on the drive over to the hospital.)

My "best" moment and my "proudest" moment are different in that kissing Chris didn't make me "proud" it just made me feel full of hope. It was one of the best feelings I've ever had.

Proudest is the birth of my sons. Held my wife's hand as the first one was delivered. Actually got to deliver the second one myself. OK, with close guidance, but it was unbelievable. Unfortunately this was followed by the phone ringing at 2am and having my wife tell me they just took him to neonatal ICU, that he was having trouble breathing. Turned out he was in pain from having broken his clavicle on the way out. That was a not-so-subtle clue that I should stick to research. I don't know nothin' 'bout birthin' babies!

Conversely, my own failings as a human being that contributed to the end of my marriage. Although I'm pretty happy with how we put the kids first, and finally both acted like the people we should have been all along.
