Do you have a favorite inspirational read? It can be sports related or not! I love "The Seed" by Jon Gordon (and just about everything else he has written). What makes you get up and go?!

"Motivation comes from within, Inspiration comes from your surroundings"

(can you tell is the afternoon before a long holiday break for me? I'm stuck at work and can't stay focused!)

Have a safe holiday weekend (for those of you in the U.S- I guess!)!!

I just finished, "When I was a Child I read Books" by Marilynne Robinson,, really excellent. I listened to it audiobook style so only really understood about 20% of it. Very engaging, smart so very smart. Not really meant to be an inspirational book, but it is, in the way a skilled speaker can give a lecture about a plant growing that make you want to revamp your carreer. If you have the time and the patience I would suggest it highly.

Anything by Harlan Ellison. If I'm not suicidal by the end of the book I've already overcome a great obstacle and am ready to take life on on its own terms.
