Run
Comments: This run/walk was hilarious. My husband and three of the four kids went on ahead and were actually running. I, on the other hand, was on "clean up" for any straggler kids, which ended up being my 7 year old. She is such a drama queen. "I just *can't* run any more!"... "If I had known how far this was, I'd never have signed up!"... "I think I can make it to the corner Mom; I'll try!" It was all I could do not to laugh at her, but I held it in. I mean, seriously, this was only 1.2 miles. We finally made it, though, and actually ran the last block to the finish! What would you do differently?: Nothing! :) Post race
Event comments: Great family event; not for the "serious" runner! Last updated: 2004-11-29 12:00 AM

Drag the kids out of bed on Thanksgiving morning. Actually, three of them were up with no problem; just the one older daughter (12) was not thrilled.
None. This was extremely informal. The race is not even really timed. There's a clock so you can see your time when you cross the line, but it's not even recorded anywhere. The start went like this: "If you're runnin the 2k, go ahead and go. Try not to hit the 8k runners going the opposite way!"
