Pre-race routine:

Got up really early (3:30am) and had breaky. got in the car at 4:15 and drove the 1hr 30mins to caloundra. found a park and got to transition. Set up at a good spot and ate my banana. headed out to the loo (line was ENORMOUS) and women pushing in because "I start in 5mins" "too bad! We've been wating 30mins and WE start in 5mins!"
Event warmup:

running to the start. Running on the spot
Swim
  • 06m 18s
  • 200 meters
  • 03m 09s / 100 meters
Comments:

Lots of groping. My hand landed on one woman's arse! How terrible! Had a great swim, came out middle of the pack and didn't lose my navigation at all. coming back I was all by myself heading to chore. I swam in a straight line whereas others were sweaping to he right. I didn't think there was a current.

I think I was mid pack.

I looked down coming out of the water (after a massive grope fest) and saw 5:47. I clicked my HRM on the mats though for a time of 6:15.92.
What would you do differently?:

try to avoid other girls arses.

Comments:

Run was good. People overtook me but I managed to claw some of the way back. I KNEW I havd finished somewhere in the top ten because there weren't that many women accross the finish yet with HH on their legs.
Post race
Warm down:

My timing chip failed! And what's worse is because it failed - My time is posted at 16th place.

The time on my watch says 30:45!!! A PB!!! - GOOD ENOUGH FOR FOURTH PLACE ACCORDING TO THE RESULTS PAGE!!!!!

The time my chip SUPPOSEDLY says I did was 33:49 - 2mins slower than raby and I don't have a run or bike time posting... WHAT THE HELL????

NOT HAPPY JAN!!!

Event comments:

I KNOW I did well. I don't get a medal but I want MY TIME!!!! I want my PB!!!! I want the mental and physical effort I put into this race to be RECORDED RIGHT!!!

Great race, I love reading colorful aussie race reports. Arse's everywhere, can't help but grabbing them

Love reading about some good arse grabbing!

Great race! Sucks with the timing but so what you rocked it and that is all that matters.

Sweet race! Sucks about the timing equipment, but at least you had your own backup.
