Run
Comments: Good strong run, considering my lungs are still messed up from the flu. My goal (before getting sick) was to break 22 minutes - I was happy to be able to even come close to that with my condition on race day. Come to find out, I finished Second in my age group - Yea!!!! What would you do differently?: Not get sick 10 days before the race Post race
Warm down: Walk around, gather my sweats and jacket, then wait for my wife to finish the walk. What limited your ability to perform faster: First mile always goes well, the second mile sucks..... Then I'm usually able to pick the pace back up just a bit for the third mile. Event comments: As usual, the race is all good - then the awards ceremony drags on and on. I actually left early, as we had a charity bike ride to do - and asked a friend to pick up my award, if I happened to place in my age group. Last updated: 2008-02-23 12:00 AM

Cereal for breakfast, quick shower, cup of coffee. Drove into Chico to sign up for the Tour De Ed, then back to pick up my wife, and head over to the race.
A few pace runs, walking around and stretching.
