Welcome to this site. Stick around you can get some useful information. Feel free to ask questions. We all are eager to help if we can. Good luck on reaching your goals.
Welcome and good luck. You can practice the transitions before your race. Do a few bricks, swim/bike or bike/run. Try and make the transition as realistic as possible, lay out all your equipment before. The swim bike transition is a little tougher in the transition area, changing while wet and all. The bike run transition is pretty simple but the first couple of kms of the run can be strange getting your legs moving in a different motion. Have fun.
Welcome aboard. You and I are pretty much in the same boat as far as triathlons are concerned. I have been an avid cyclist for over forty years, a jogger an olympic style wimmer for over twenty years but I have yet to do a triathlon. Don't worry too much about the transition; Ron's suggested article on that subject is very good. Just look at your first, or maybe couple of firsts, tri will serve as your reconnoitering bout in order to learn the ins and outs of the triathlon. Do like me and just go to finish.
