Subject: OLN PR internship
So this fall i get word of a public relations internship at OLN and send out a resume and cover letter within hours. Just before thanksgiving i get a call back from the PR director and set up an interview. I'd like to think it went pretty well and she seemed impressed. I sent out a thank-you note and just this week she asked to see if could send her some writing samples.

I was pretty psyched b'c it showed she was still at least somewhat interested in me, and i got a message on my machine yesterday saying she called (i'm crossing my fingers hoping its good news, but i dont wanna get my hopes up).

So as soon as i get any news i'll be sure to post it, as well as my detailed plans on how i'm going to drastically increase the triathlon coverage at OLN :-)

Just thought i'd share my news for the day

 Good luck! If you get in see if you can get them to get rid of the bull riding  bull#$#! and most of the fishing shows and show more running biking swimming and triathlon events.

Yeah i am definately not as much of a fan of the Bull riding and the fishing, but i guess fishing is supposed to be the next nascar.. so it was most likely a well backed business decision to up the fishing programming.

Woo hoo...congrats! That's what we need...an insider at OLN! Maybe something will come of this and you'll end up replacing Al Trautwig on the Tour de France broadcasting team.

WAHOO! Good news. I got offered the position right before my journalism class tonite, so i wasnt able to get much as far as details. Pending a drug test, background check for any BALCO connections and probably enough paperwork to keep me busy enough for a while, i'll be the newest PR intern at OLN (aka BT.com Liason).

Awesome. Keep the bull riding though. What's not to like about a little rodeo. I could definitely do without the fishing and hunting.
