Subject: What's base training? how much shoud I train? How hard should I train? We get these and many more questions here on the forum frequently hence I've been using those topics as inpiration to share some of my coaching thoughts through my blog in hopes to provide a better understating about it to all tri-geeks like me I am currently working on the training load concept in an attempt to explain in a simple way why this is the most important aspect for our training plan. This should give you a better idea as to why either doing more volume, intensity or a mix of both might be beneficial for you in hopes to optimize your training gains. As I complete this series I’ll move to the periodization concept so you can use both when planning your training schedules. Please let me know if you have any questions, critiques, etc either via PM, email or comments on the blog and I’ll try to get back to you as soon as possible. Some of the posts: · What exactly is base training? · Why some training days are better than others? And the current series: · What is training load? · Why following a volume approach works? Enjoy! |
