Subject: IMCal Warmup Swim

OK, for those who are interested, my Tri Club will be hosting a little warmup swim on Friday Morning at 7:00AM.  Just a short swim for us to get a feel for what the water temps are like.

We will be meeting just to the South of the O'Side Pier Friday Morning at 7:00AM.

I'm in...As long as i can find it. I am flying in thursday around 1. I have a GPS so hopfully that will get me there.

The swim start is directly out in front of the Expo on the beach

Looks like we have a bunch of folks from the Tri Club and also quite a few others also showing up for the swim.

We will likely do a short swim just to get a feel for the water, stretch our arms and legs and best of all, confirm that our wetsuits still work

Last year, My wetsuit tore open as I was suiting up and ended up buying a new one at the expo. (better to have this problem on Friday then on Saturday)

In addition, we have a bunch of folks from the club as well as a few Nytro peeps. Should be great fun

Any more folks interested?

It's a great way to get a feel for what the water temps are like and get all of your race day swimming outfit issues worked out

OK, chatted with Jean Claude and we are on for tomorrow morning at 7:00AM. We are meeting at the beach in front of the expo just south of the Oceanside Pier.

Looks like we will have quite a few folks joining us from the Tri Club, Nytro and from BT. We will be doing a short out and back (Around 500 Yards) and also a longer out and back. (To the End of the Pier, ~1,000 Yards)

The surf was up today but is predicted to fade quite a bit tonight before a big south swell picks up on Satuday. (This is partly what contributed to the demise of the sand road)

I will be sending contact info by PM in case you have throuble finding us
