What a crappy start to the day!

Hit a dead deer in the middle of the road on the way to the pool this morning. My brights were dimmed because of an oncoming car and I didn't see it until the last second. Swerving on icy roads was a worse option so I tried to straddle the overgrown timber rodent.

Forgot to pack my underwear in my gym bag. Forgot my watch, part of my lunch and my water. Got to work and had to deal with a fight between two students that someone else couldn't deal with.

Being the eternal optomist...

I got to swim. There appears to be no damage to the car. Commando feels kind of different; comfortable in fact. Who needs a watch anyway. Lunch here at school looks good today. The two fellas had cooled down by the time I was enlisted. It's Pay Day!

Wow, busy day! You mean you didn't have time to skin the deer?

Great attitude!  And it's true that YOUR attitude about whatever situation is everything!

I am going to guess that I wasn't the second person to clobber the beast. In the brief millisecond that I saw the deer, it looked pretty messed up. Scavenging of the carcass around here is common, however I don't think anyone will want this one.

Attitude is truly under one's control.

I know it makes me a total geek, but one of the coolest things in Lord of the Rings is the message that we don't get to choose what happens to use in life, but we do get to choose how we respond

Thanks for the reminder
