Comments:

"Nice" and easy pace. Passing people the whole time. Stupid me put in the wrong expected finish time; no biggie I thought. It was very hard to go faster in the beginning starting in the back and continue to pass without making my RT knee twitchy. A lot of "stop and go" type running made the knee hurt especially at the turns and water stops when folks were doing 45 deg bee-lines to the water. Normally I wouldn't care too much, but it put a lot of strain on my knee. Pain started around Mile 2 and peaked around Mile 7. Sucked it up and got through it.

Chatted with my gf most of the time until Mile 8 when we picked it up. Felt fine at the end. Just barely got into Zone 4 and that was in the end for a few minutes. She did great (longest ever run for her) and it was fun to actually run with someone; she had a goal of 10-min miles and we crushed it. I was hoping that we would get down to 9:30; retrospect, we should have picked it up starting at Mile 5 instead. Wish we could have gone faster in the beginning but too many people are on the course and we kind of just got stuck in the easy groove there for a few miles. Definitely can see the change in the splits at Mile 6.

Not a fun race for me even if I was healthy; the course is fast but way too crowded and the logistics are tough. And the rain sucked a$$. And the shirts are girly. Probably sounds like I'm whinig . . . I am; I hate running in cold rain :) But, it's character building.
What would you do differently?:

eh, wasn't trying to set a PR or anything. Seed myself with the orange folks!
Post race
Warm down:

got to the Metro and headed home; very cold. Wanted to go to pub, but we needed to get back and clean house, do homework, etc.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

people in the way :)
