Gold's Gym Woodstock Pool Length

Veteran  261   Woodstock, GA |  Subject: Gold's Gym Woodstock Pool LengthI just started swimming at the new Gold's Gym in Woodstock on Hwy 92. They actually have a pretty nice pool and at this point it is not too crowded yet. The first time I swam there they told me it was a 25 meter pool, 25 meters * 64 laps = 1 Mile. Tonight I swam there and they tell me it is a 25 yard pool, 25 yards * 72 laps = 1 Mile. I am hoping someone with more experience in the pool is going there and can help me figure out the actual distance! Justin |

Master 1249 Atlanta, GA | Subject: RE: Gold's Gym Woodstock Pool Length Try counting your strokes in a pool that you are sure of the distance and compare it to the G.Gym pool. It's not exact, but you should get a good idea. I guess you could always bring your tape measure?? |

A foot here and there is easily discernable. Does it matter in the long run? Maybe, maybe not, but if you are thinking you are swimming a mile, and you are only doing 8/10ths of one, then it could definately have a detrimental effect. |
