Boston Marathon

Monday, April 21, 2008

Event Day Forecast for Apr. 21

Cloudy
Daytime High:56°F
Overnight Low:45°F
Probability of Precipitation: 20%
Wind: From the East at 9 mph
See? Now down to 20%.  3 days out it's still pretty much a crapshoot.

Wind from the East ....... why is it always from the West when I'm running towards home on my main route (into my face) ..... and then opposite on a point to point race with the whole thing in my face.  Someone doesn't like me upstairs. ;-P

My Mom's recollection about her other trips to Boston is that the wind was ALWAYS coming from the east directly into her face. She doesn't recall it ever being too bad, though.

today forecast is better than yesterday.

Is there a way to run Aero? 26.2 miles of a head wind is not always fun either.

Yup, went there for college too. I used to watch the marathon every year. Doubt I'll ever run it, so I'm jealous of all of you

BucNIowa - 2008-04-16 12:36 AM Will the race be televised this year? I watched it last year on VS. but I can't seem to find it this year.

Looks like it will be streamed live on one of our local tv station's website...
