Hey Goalie -

Were you guy that ran by some people and said don't let your friends talk you into doing this race with a single speed near the finish?!

I thought it was a pretty good race. I did the short course and felt like I hadn't trained nearly enough... but I survived. I went quite a bit further than I should have on the last run because I didn't know where the turn around was, but my fault for not paying more attention to the maps before hand... I guess I just expected someone to tell us... I know I know my own fault, but I was definitely not the only person.

Thanks to whoever the nice guy was running the long course who told me to turn around!

Great job to all you speedy folks out there yesterday! I was not among you in thr front of the pack, but still managed to slog my way to the finish.

Pattie and Jeremy, good to see you again too. Brian, nice to meet you. To the rest, sorry I missed you.

Bryan, my race report is posted now too, depressing as it is.

Yeah, but I am not considering them "friends" anymore. Bastards.

I must brag a bit on my brother, Scott Myren. This is just his second year with Tri/Du. He came in 5th overall, 4th overall for men, and 1st in his age division. No longer am I able to keep up with him.

Here's my race report:

http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=112470&posts=1&start=1

It was early in the season.  It was cold but at least not wet.  There was some wind but it wasn't too windy.  It was a first year event so there will be some growing pains.  A good job by RD Bill Nevala and his team of volunteers.  Very nice to have a local event!  Great representation by TriRochester.

Congrats to all who braved it out!
