Overall Rank = 26/117

Age Group Rank = 6/16
Pre-race routine:

Drove to course had PG&J and a coffee, sipped gatorade until time to warm up.
Event warmup:

Registered and then went for a warm up loop around the park. Did a few pick up to feel my pace for the day and then tried to get my calfs stretched out as best I could.

Comments:

Great race. Felt good the whole race except the last 2 miles my calfs started cramping. I was able to keep my pace consistant throughtout pretty much except a couple of hills. Otherwise I am extremely happy with my effort.
6/16 in my age group, of the AG had been 35-39 I would have been 3rd.

What would you do differently?:

Not much, drink more and not mix my drink quite as strong (only 2 scoops instead of 3)
Post race
Warm down:

waited for S to finish and yelled at her to keep moving to make her goal time (which she did with ease). Got some CC cookies, a banana and H2O and pretty much headed out.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not much.

Event comments:

Much better in the 2nd year. I would recommend this to others as the course can be very fast and Mandy does put on a good race.

Performance: Good
AHR 159 MHR 169 Pretty much had my HR pinned for the full race
Course: 1st 5K was pretty much up hill, then came back down the next 5k. The next 1.5 mile was basically straight up, luckily we then came back down this, then the finish was fairly flat w/ one hill about mile 10.5. Pretty scenic course and if you can handle the uphills and cruise on the down hills it can be a fast course.
