I always hate it when folks leave a message board without saying bye so I'm giving notice. Y'all have helped me out a lot as I prepared for my first tri a year ago. Thanks. You helped a lot. Best of luck to you genuine newbies.

I'm leaving because the 'cute' apology threads finally got to me. Perhaps I'm not cool enough for NAMENAMENAME *(whatever they are), but the supercute apology threads 3-6 did me in.

No need for a response, I'm done. Best of luck, Ron.

Like gone forever?  Wow, I didn't know you since I just joined about a month or so, but sorry to hear you go.  As an extreme veteran with so many posts and also a gold member, you must have given alot of good tips and information.  It's sort of sad to see such a dedicated poster leave but I can see how one can be affected by the recent drama (I found it very inappropriate also by the way).  Again, sorry to hear you go, and good luck with your future tri endevors.

man, we have some seriously cranky people around here lately.  Lighten up folks, not everything has to be life and death.  Kathy, I hope you reconsider and come back but I sure as heck won't apologize for my post.  If you don't like it, don't read it.  That's what I do with many threads here.  Ron gets the final say when something has crossed the line and has done a great job nurturing a caring and concerned community here.  We tease each other because we care about each other.  The namenamename thing started a long time ago and that's how friendships develope.  It's hard to become friends with as many thousands of people that frequent this site now, but we try.  It has nothing to do with "being cool" which to me was what we were concerned with in high school, many, many moons ago.

Anyhow, I'd like to think that's all I have to say on this matter, but I know better.  I wish you the best and do hope that you return.  This is the best tri site out there.

Some of the digressions of late are probably better posted under the Cup of  Joe Forum.  Newcomers and vets alike should be able to find mostly triathlon talk on the Triathlon Forum.   My .02.

Ron, You are taking this board way to seriously. I am sure you have your reasons for leaving. You are just losing out on a great resource for triathlon and fitness.
