I'm so glad everyone had a fit weekend! I didn't end up running the race. i did get out and run and did a little ocean swimming for the first time so it was a productive weekend!

Since it was such a great experience seeing Webster - i'm wondering if anyone wants to meet and watch the Sharon Tri on Sunday the 17th ?

Hi Ladies,

So, I'm in a bit of training trouble.  My husband did something awful to his back, and I haven't been able to get in a workout for nearly two weeks solid.  The only time I have to work out now is before the kids wake up (at 5:30) or after they go to sleep (at 8), and it is pitch dark at both times.  Anyone in the Hopkinton area up for an evening run in the dark with me?  I am too chicken to run in the area by myself after dark without pepper spray, and with the laws in MA, it's going to take me about 6-8 weeks to get a license to carry.  PM me if you are up for an evening run in the area.

Hey Moondirt!  Sorry to hear about your hubby   What town do ya live in?  If you're close to Medway, I could possibly do an easy run on Sat night.  I used to be in the same boat, and my dad would often take me to the track and keep the cars headlights on!  lol Such a great dad

We're doing a practice tri on Sunday morning (hence EASY run on sat.) we're meeting at 7:30 and plan on doing the bike, run, then swim.  Could you maybe make it fr just the bike part?  Just keep your kids up really late the night before! j/k j/k  Lemme know!

Hi all-

I'm in! I had a great time last time I was out there with ya'll and looking forward to it again. Mav-- should I bring my bike? Or does the offer to borrow your red-n-white-super-fast-colored bike still hold?

Svea.

Ugh....race day _will_ be here before we know it.  Hubby is feeling better after his surgery last week, but I am still only managing to get in minimal training.  I don't know how I'm going to do the race....3 weeks of essentially no training....hubby folded laundry for me last night so I could get in some trainer time (right before bed, what an awful time to train), but there are still only 3 weeks to go until the race!!!

Good luck to you ladies!
I did the race in Hopkinton last September - then it was called the Sweet 16.  It was my second race and a little more hilly than I expected, BUT it was a great race!  Everyone participating was really friendly and the organization was great!

Kick some booty out there, girls!!!

Thanks Sazza!!!

How's everyone doing?  Anyone else a lil nervous?  Just got the Race packet...so much info!!!!!!!  I guess the swim is a rectangle, clockwise (erg...the site had a triangle counter clockwise pic!)  Can anyone explain the whole "bike must be on small chain" thing for racking?

I live close to Hopkinton.  I would love to join the bike ride (my strongest element).  I am still learning how to swim and planning on doing my first tri early next year.  It is now Aug.  25.  Anyone going out for a ride this weekend?
