Subject: desert half?

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum so "Hi!", I like the fact there is a BC section here. I'm one of those shiftworkers who trains by myself; it's my first year doing tri's. just did the Oliver HIM which was exhausting but somehow left me wanting more. Looks like I'm going to get a hell of a lot more on July 6th at Osoyoos - is anyone else going in this event? Might be nice to meet people as the Oliver half was a bit lonely (1,2,3, Awwww) !! I'm heading up there next thursday for a day or two of riding those hills...

 Cheers

This will be be the first time not doing this race. It's a tough one as the out and back bike route on Richter doesn't leave much for the legs to run on.

I live in the area so I'll probably be down to either help out or spectate.

Have fun next Thur.

Well, I'm on a weird schedule: 6 on, 4 off, 5 on, 4 off, 6 on 3 off - apparently it's called "Shiftlogic" - we like to call it something similar minus an f.    Am currently on 4 off, returning to 5 on Saturday...hey - the weather is meant to improve Saturday -  how coincidental!!

Like Dan I work shifts as well but I'm sure I work a lot harder! 4 on and 4 off as well. There is a group of us who do the tri thing in the Chilliwack area. If you are interested in joining us let us know. Good job in Oliver. I'm sure you passed me!
