meepx2 - 2008-06-19 4:20 PM I'll usually get sub 40, best time this year was 36:14 (by the timer). What about you? Sure, we can meet at 10:00 AM at the bottom. Good?

Out of curiosity, what is your best 10k time?

I haven't done a 10k in years. Last March I did an 8k in 31:04. For a 10k, I guess I could hit a 38 or 39.

At the Grind screen at the top, you need a sub 35 to make the top 3 in the M20-29 age category, and the #1 is 29 minutes.

You should come on Saturday morning if you're not busy.

Would love to but I have two very good reasons I can't make it. 1 - Have to work that day and 2 - That ~5 hr. drive to get there kind of makes for an early start for me to get there on time.

UHH.. I can meet you there.. but it takes me about an hour.. so expect to leave me quickly..

According to Dave Orchard's blog Dave's Blog one pound equals 30 seconds. So in theory carrying 40 pounds extra would equal things out.

depends if anybody is trying to jump off a bridge at the time...

I do realize that is in very poor taste but really, if you're seriously going to jump, just do it.

Leah. I can't believe you! Seriously? Even if that person jumped they would have tied up traffic!  What kind of mental issues does someone have when they climb onto a bridge deck at 1PM on a holiday afternoon? They could have walked over to her and pulled her off, she wasn't going anywhere. 6 hours? Come on.  If you want to do yourself in, stay off the major roadways! She's just giving a bad name to suiciders!

Shouldn't take more than 30 minutes , stay away from the bridges around 4 - 5 PM!

DrLeah - 2008-07-03 2:57 PM it might have tied up traffic, but I bet they'd have had 1 lane in each direction moving.  The paper said they had to close the bridge completely because they couldn't hear her talking over the traffic noise.

Ohhhh, I had something to add to that...but instead I'll just bite my tongue, pack up my desk early and drive up to the lake for a swim....poor lady, I sure hope she gets the help that she apparently really needs.  Arrrghhh...must keep uunnggghhh...Right-wing thoughts on the... oohhhuuuggghhh...inside...

Sorry for hyjacking your thread Paul! ;P
