Comments: Definitely started out way too fast for the shape I'm in right now. Realized this at about 1/2 mile and eased off a little. Then tried to just stay in a "comfortable push" zone. Not really sure what my time was. What would you do differently?: TRAIN!!!!!!!!!!!! Post race
Warm down: Walked and stretched a lot. Drank the Endurox, had a bagel with peanut butter and some water. When I got home I did a hot/cold immersion for my legs. What limited your ability to perform faster: Poor training the past few months. Also had a bad transfer with a patient yesterday and my back is a little stiff. Had some aleve and iced it a lot. Event comments: This is the 2nd annual of this event. Really liked that Christian top 40 music was being played (no worries about the lyrics) and a little prayer before the race. Race benefitted Urban Youth Impact, a charity for inner city kids. Very good cause. Last updated: 2005-01-15 12:00 AM

Got Endurox set up the night before into water bottle and froze it. Did a little stretching before left the house.
Light jogging, interspersed with some more stretching. Did a few interval sprints closer to race start
